Practitioners tell people about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China

The Chinese Consulate in Nagoya and pro-China groups also held events in Hisaya-odori Park. Many people saw the banners displayed by practitioners and received informational materials. After talking with practitioners several Chinese decided withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
During the three-day event, practitioners noticed that an increasing number of people understood the truth about Falun Gong. What especially touched the practitioners was a Japanese elderly man, who, after learning the facts about Falun Gong, asked if he could help distribute informational materials to passersby. A kind Japanese police officer who understood the truth brought hot tea and drinks to the practitioners who stood for hours in the cold.
Support from the Japanese Public: Keep It Up!
On the first day of the event, a Japanese man in his 70s introduced himself as Mr. Ichikawa, and said he was “half Taiwanese.”
When he accepted an informational leaflet from a practitioner, he said, “Many of us Japanese know about Falun Gong. There’s no freedom in China. The CCP is evil.” When asked how he knew about it, he replied, “I read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party during a visit to Taiwan.” He asked for additional materials in Japanese so he could distribute them to others. Before he left, Mr. Ichikawa encouraged the practitioners, “Keep going! You’re doing great!”
The second day, practitioners met a man in his 60s who was passionate about traditional Chinese culture. He spoke with them for a long time.
The man had a deep understanding of Chinese history and said, “Traditional China was beautiful. Since the CCP came to power, it’s only gone downhill. Now, Japan’s political and business sectors are heavily influenced by the CCP, and the situation isn’t optimistic.” He explained that he learned online about human rights abuses in China, including how Japanese citizens travel there for organ transplants. He expressed deep sympathy for the persecution faced by Falun Gong practitioners in China. As he left, he encouraged the practitioners, “I hope you continue your efforts and persist. Keep it up!”
Many Japanese people talked with practitioners during the event. When they heard how the CCP harvests organs from Falun Dafa practitioners in China, they were shocked and outraged. Some said, “As long as the CCP exists, the world won’t know peace. We’re cheering for you!”
Overseas Tourists Interested in Falun Dafa
Practitioners also talked to many tourists. Two young men from Georgia in the U.S. talked with practitioners and took informational materials about Falun Dafa. The practitioners explained that Falun Dafa teaches people to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and benefits both mind and body. It’s practiced in more than 100 countries and regions around the world, but is persecuted in China.
An elderly Western man also stopped by. After taking a Japanese-language flyer, he read it carefully and gave the practitioners a thumbs-up.
Chinese Tourists Admire Freedom Abroad
During the event, practitioners encountered many visitors from China.
On the first day, a practitioner noticed a family of three taking photos near the banners. The practitioner approached them and offered to help take a group photo. The family happily posed in front of the banner with the words “Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” as the background. The practitioner learned that they were visiting Japan as tourists and came across the event by chance. They said, “This kind of scene is unimaginable in China. There’s so much more freedom abroad!”
On Sunday, the streets were more crowded. Two men in their 50s from northeast China passed by. A practitioner spoke to them about withdrawing from the CCP. One of the men said he already did, in China. After hearing the facts the other man immediately declared his withdrawal from the Young Pioneers.
The man who had already quit the CCP saw the banners and shouted loudly in the street, “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is truly good!”
Chinese People Encourage Practitioners
A practitioner spoke to a woman from China and encouraged her to quit the CCP. The practitioner explained the CCP’s destructive nature and how the Tiananmen self-immolation was staged. She agreed with everything the practitioner said. When asked if she had joined the Party or its affiliates, she said she was a Party member. The practitioner offered her a pseudonym, and she agreed to withdraw from the CCP. She said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is really good.”
The practitioner also encouraged her to help her family members quit the CCP after she returned to China, and she explained the process. She was delighted and said that her family members were all Party members, and she would help them withdraw.
Another practitioner spoke with a Chinese international student who said he understood the CCP’s evil nature. He agreed to quit the Young Pioneers.
A practitioner talked to another young man and explained traditional China’s values like reverence for heaven and virtue, and how morality declined under the CCP’s violent rule, from the Cultural Revolution to the Tiananmen Square massacre, and the persecution of Falun Gong. The young man agreed with everything the practitioner said and decided to withdraw from the Young Pioneers.
During the event, practitioners distributed Falun Gong materials in Japanese, English, and Chinese. Many Chinese people, after hearing the truth, accepted the materials. Some asked practitioners for more materials, and said they wanted to take them home and read them carefully. Others thanked the practitioners and said, “We support you. It’s so cold; take care of yourselves!”
An elderly practitioner in his 70s stood near the banners and talked to Chinese people. One well-dressed woman said she lived in Japan for 30 years. She encouraged practitioners, saying, “Keep up your efforts—you will succeed!”
