(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Fujun Arrested
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Wei and Ms. Zhao Xilan Sentenced
3. [Shanghai] Ms. Tan Jing Had a Tumor Removed While Serving Time in Prison
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
5. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Ying and Mr. Li Guikun Harassed
1. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Fujun Arrested
Mr. Sun Fujun of Yantai City was recently arrested in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province for distributing Falun Gong flyers. His whereabouts are unknown.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Wei and Ms. Zhao Xilan Sentenced
Ms. Wang Wei, 68, and Ms. Zhao Xilan, 70, of Sujiatun District, were arrested by the Sujiatun Domestic Security Division officers on July 13, 2024. They appeared in the Hunnan District Court on November 22, 2024, and were sentenced on December 26, 2024. Ms. Zhao was sentenced to a year. Ms. Wang was sentenced to four years and fined 2,000 yuan; she has appealed the verdict.
3. [Shanghai] Ms. Tan Jing Had a Tumor Removed While Serving Time in Prison
Ms. Tan Jing was arrested at home on December 21, 2023. She was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison in March 2024. She has been admitted to the Qingpu Women’s Prison and is scheduled to be released in October 2026.
She was recently found to have a tumor in her neck. She underwent an operation in a hospital and stayed there for four days before she was transferred to a prison hospital.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Two married couples, Mr. Wang Weidong and his wife Ms. Li Wen’e, and Mr. Pang Yongsheng and his wife Ms. Ye Hongxia, were harassed and photographed at home by Caofeidian District’s Nanyan Police Station officers on the evening of January 21, 2025.
A fifth practitioner, Ms. Li Xuedi, was harassed and photographed at her daughter’s home by two officers from the Nanyan Police Station around 1:30 p.m. on January 23, 2025.
5. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Ying and Mr. Li Guikun Harassed
Ms. Zhu Ying’s home was ransacked by five or six officers from Xinbin Town Police Station recently. The officers seized her Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong. She was taken to the police station and released after signing police documents.
Mr. Li Guikun’s home was ransacked on January 24, 2025. Officers seized his Falun Gong books, a portable speaker, and couplets. He was taken to police station and released after being forced to sign police documents.
