(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qi Xiuhong Imprisoned
2. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Liu Qiying and Her husband Arrested
3. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Lanchun Arrested and Detained
4. [Baotou City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wang Ying Denied Family Visitation in Prison
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dong Wenxiu Arrested
6. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Ruilan Arrested and Harassed
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Ying Harassed
8. [Shanghai] Ms. Gu Bin Harassed
9. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Cheng Dexiu and Mr. Zhao Guiyang Arrested
10. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qi Xiuhong Imprisoned
Ms. Qi Xiuhong was arrested on July 20, 2023 while studying Falun Gong’s teachings with other practitioners. She was later sentenced to one and a half years in prison. Her family have not been allowed to visit her after she was admitted to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison.
2. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Liu Qiying and Her husband Arrested
Ms. Liu Qiying and her husband, who doesn’t practice Falun Gong, were arrested at home by officers from the Qinzhou District Police Department on the afternoon of December 23, 2024. They were taken to the Qinzhou District Detention Center on the evening of December 24, 2024.
3. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Lanchun Arrested and Detained
Ms. Liu Lanchun from Miyun District was arrested on December 15, 2024, after being reported for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was first detained in the Chengguan Police Station and later transferred to the Jizhuang Detention Center.
4. [Baotou City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wang Ying Denied Family Visitation in Prison
Mr. Wang Ying was admitted to the Hohhot Second Prison at the end of April 2024. His family went to visit him in early December 2024, but were not allowed to see him because Mr. Wang refuses to renounce Falun Gong.
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dong Wenxiu Arrested
Ms. Dong Wenxiu from Xiangfang District was arrested at home on December 19, 2024. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and computer. She was released in the afternoon.
6. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Ruilan Arrested and Harassed
Ms. Xie Ruilan, who is over 80, was arrested by officers from the Sanshui Town Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on the street at noon on July 13, 2024. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated 20 Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and three media players from her home. She was released in the afternoon.
Ms. Xie has been harassed three times since then. The authorities also installed a surveillance camera in front of her home to monitor her. Her children were pressured and ordered to prevent her from going out to talk to people about Falun Gong.
7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Ying Harassed
Ms. Wang Ying was harassed at home by four officers from the Xicheng Police Station in Bin County on the afternoon of December 18, 2024. The police confiscated two copies of the Minghui Weekly and a computer. They threatened to take away the photo of Falun Gong’s founder and forced her to fingerprint a piece of paper.
8. [Shanghai] Ms. Gu Bin Harassed
Ms. Gu Bin received a harassing call from Xu Yi of the Xuanqiao Town Police Station in Pudong District on December 10, 2024. The police went to her home on December 12, 2024 and took some photos.
9. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Cheng Dexiu and Mr. Zhao Guiyang Arrested
Ms. Cheng Dexiu was followed by three officers on her way home and arrested after she arrived at her home. The police ransacked her place and confiscated three MP5 players and one Falun Gong book. She was interrogated at the police station and released in the afternoon.
Mr. Zhao Guiyang from Tongzhou District was arrested in June 2024. He has been harassed and interrogated six times since his release.
10. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Mr. Lyu Hualiang was harassed at home by two officers from the Xiaochi Town Police Station in Huangmei County on December 19, 2024. They attempted to take some photos but were stopped by her family.
Two officers from the Xiaochi Town Police Station went to the homes of Ms. Wu Tianying and Ms. Yuan Xiaoyun on December 27, 2024 and took some photos around the homes.
Three officers from the Liuzuo Township Police Station in Huangmei County went to Mr. Fei Jinguo’s home on the afternoon of December 27, 2024. They tried to take some photos but were stopped by Mr. Fei.
