(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a parade through Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Prague’s historic center was packed with visitors, and thousands of people learned about Falun Dafa and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of practitioners in China. Several media outlets covered the event.
The parade began at 11 a.m. on Hradčanské Square and concluded at Old Town Square. Tourists and locals lined the streets, taking in the lively music and colorful procession. Along with the Tian Guo Marching Band, the parade included two colorful Chinese dragons, two lions, a fairy dance with origami lotus flowers, and a waist drum team. Many people recorded the event on their phones and accepted informational leaflets.
People stopped to watch and accepted flyers during the parade in Prague.
Introducing Falun Dafa and Raising Awareness of the Persecution
Rádio Impuls, a Czech radio station, contacted Leos Strnad, the spokesperson for the Czech Falun Dafa Association, for an interview about the event two days prior.
During the interview, Mr. Strnad said, “The message of the parade is to show the grace of the Falun Dafa meditation practice, and at the same time draw attention—through this peaceful and creative form—to the CCP’s ongoing persecution in China, where practitioners have been oppressed for more than 26 years.”
During his speech at Old Town Square after the parade, Mr. Strnad stressed, “There are things that concern all of us, whether we admit it or not. When people are persecuted purely for their belief in the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, it is not only an attack on them—it is an attack on humanity as a whole. If we remain silent and pretend not to see these crimes, what kind of society are we becoming?”

Media Covers the Parade
The parade received coverage from Czech outlets, including Dingir—a Czech magazine on religious life.

The report reads, “On Saturday, October 11, a march of practitioners passed through Prague to remind the Prague public and tourists of this persecution. Other disturbing world events pushed the topic of the Falun Gong movement somewhat to the background. At the same time, the repression of the Chinese communist authorities has already killed thousands of PRCs in its 26-year duration.”
The report emphasized that aside from simply talking about the persecution in China, this year’s parade also draws attention to the fact that the CCP is trying to export its persecution of practitioners beyond China’s borders.
“The targets of these transnational repressions are practitioners of the Falun Gong meditation practice and the theatre troupe Shen Yun, who strive for a renaissance of traditional Chinese culture,” said Leos Strnad, as quoted by Dingir.
Onlookers Moved by the Parade’s Messages
Dagmar, a shopkeeper in Ostrava, watched the parade with tears in her eyes. “The beauty of what I saw moved me deeply,” she said. “And when I learned about the persecution, I felt great sorrow and pain.”
Daniel from Brno, said that he previously heard about Falun Dafa but this was the first time he saw an event of this magnitude. “It’s positive. It’s very organized, the participants look measured with army precision, but they are calm,” he said.
“Arresting and dismantling people for organs, you can’t agree with that,” he said, referring to the persecution. He also said that he signed a petition to the Czech authorities to advocate for the persecution of Falun Dafa to end.
A Mongolian drummer from the band Morning Star, who received a leaflet, later searched online for more information about the marching band. He said he enjoyed both the music and seeing the dragon, which left a strong impression on him.
