(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pan Liping Arrested and Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Pan Liping, 63, a retired physician with the Huabei Oil Field, was arrested by Shijiazhuang Railroad police on January 25, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was detained for four days and interrogated twice. She failed the physical exam, so the detention center would not admit her. The Bohai Domestic Security Division released her on a one-year bail on January 28, 2024, after charging her a 10,000-yuan bond.

The police submitted Ms. Pan’s case to the local procuratorate in January 2025. The prosecutor returned the case a few times for additional evidence. She has now been indicted. Her whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Xi Zhaojun Faces Indictment

Mr. Xi Zhaojun was arrested on July 8, 2025, when he was traveling in Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia. His case has been submitted to the Shangdu County Procuratorate in Ulanqab.

3. [Ci County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Junfang’s Appeal Denied

Ms. Wu Junfang was arrested at home on February 26, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was first held in Ci County Detention Center, and then transferred to the Handan City Third Detention Center. Handan oversees Ci County. She appeared in court on April 9, 2025, and was later sentenced. The length of her term isn’t known. She appealed to the Handan City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict.

4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Xi’e Detained

Ms. Zhou Xi’e was arrested for distributing Falun Gong flyers in apartment buildings on October 11, 2025. She is being held in the Anlu Lockup.

5. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Ying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Ying was arrested by Qingdao Road Police Station officers on the morning of October 14, 2025. Her home was ransacked.

6. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fu Wenquan Detained and Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Fu Wenquan was arrested at home by officers from Qingyuan County Domestic Security Division and Caoshi Town Police Station at noon on October 15, 2025. His home was ransacked. His Falun Gong books and other items were confiscated. He was beaten and bled. His whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Detained

Several practitioners were arrested before October 1, 2025. While some were released shortly after, others were detained for over 10 days. Among them, Ms. Jia Hongying, 57, and Ms. Sun Xiuyan, 60, are still being held in the Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center.

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhoushan Released After 18 Months Imprisonment

Mr. Wang Zhoushan was released from Shenyang City First Prison on October 13, 2025, after serving an 18-month term.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Shi Fenglian Detained

Ms. Shi Fenglian was arrested and detained on October 11, 2025. Her family went to the detention center on October 13 and 14, but weren’t allowed to visit her.

10. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guiqin Arrested

Ms. Li Guiqin, 78, was reported for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on September 5, 2025. Officers from the Dingshengdong Police Station carried her into a police car and drove her to the police station. Officers ransacked her home between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. They seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, a door decoration, paintings with Falun Gong messages, and other items. She was released after 8 p.m.

11. [Changle City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Wenxiu Released on Bail

Ms. Dong Wenxiu was arrested at home on October 9, 2025, by Li Junfeng and two other officers from the Xinhua Road Police Station who broke in to her home. She was taken to the Kuiwen District Protectorate for deposition and released after signing the bail release document.

12. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Jian Emaciated and Aged While Serving a Five-Year Term

Mr. Sun Jian, 55, was sentenced to five years with a 7,000-yuan fine on October 15, 2024, by the Linghai City Court. His family recently visited him in Jinzhou Prison and noted that he was emaciated and had aged a lot.
