Finland: 2025 Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference Held in Helsinki

Dec. 13, 2025 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Finland

(Minghui.org) The 2025 Finland Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Helsinki on December 7, 2025. Fourteen Falun Dafa practitioners shared their experiences on stage. The conference provided simultaneous interpretation in four languages: Chinese, Finnish, English, and Vietnamese, making it convenient for participants who speak various languages to listen and benefit from the presentations.

Some practitioners described how they overcame difficulties after paying attention to studying the Fa; some shared how they looked within and cultivated themselves during conflicts; some narrated how they followed the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance to correct their words and actions, and used every opportunity to introduce Dafa and raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

Practitioners talked about their cultivation experiences.

Eliminating CCP Culture and Cultivating Genuinely

Giang described how she identified and eliminated CCP culture. “Before I began practicing Falun Dafa, I felt tired, frustrated, and disappointed with life, and I felt like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t catch up to others. I was so happy when I obtained the Fa and thought that I would no longer compete for fame and interest. I thought as long as I practice Dafa I would get what I wanted. My pursuit for power and interests came from selfish notions and from Party culture—this is my fundamental attachment.”

Although she’s cultivated for many years, she did not truly let go of this attachment. “I felt Dafa was a way to promote my status and achieve self-fulfillment. In cultivation, I wished to join some high-profile projects, so I’d look important. Once those people I wished to impress were impressed and I gained their recognition, I lost the motivation to do any real work and delegated the actual tasks to others. I started with enthusiasm, but couldn’t continue to the end because my motive was fame and self-interest.”

In writing the experience sharing, she noted that she pursued perfection, and was concerned about saving face. She had a show off mentality, a desire to write profound thoughts, and an impatient desire for quick results. She wished to look for a “big attachment” and find her fundamental attachment so that she could solve her issues. Ultimately, she let go of these attachments and wrote about her realizations. With Master’s hint, she saw that she still had Party culture and knew she needed to eliminate it. It was a breakthrough for her. She said writing an experience sharing article is a cultivation process and precious opportunity Master offers us so that we can improve.

Letting Go of the Notion “Act Only When You Are Fully Prepared”

Mr. Zhao shared his experience of participating in truth clarification activities in Turku during the Northern Europe Fa conference. He and two other practitioners traveled to Turku. The night before they left, they realized that they did not apply for a space, but the three of them decided to go as planned.

After they arrived, they found an open space in the event venue and prepared to collect signatures and distribute flyers. Three security personnel chatted nearby. One of the security personnel contacted the person-in-charge, and the practitioners were given a space that was available as the original applicant was absent. There was enough space for two booths, just like it was reserved for them.

Mr. Zhao said he had a touching experience while he distributed flyers, “I offered flyers to passersby and noticed a woman stood there quietly. She did not leave. After I gave the other people flyers and they left, she stepped forward to accept a flyer. It was the first time I saw people lining up to accept flyers. I realized as along as we do things sincerely, Master will bring predestined people to us. I knew at that moment sentient beings were waiting to be saved.”

He also said, “I always prepare before I do anything, and if things haven’t been arranged in advance, I object to doing it. This notion has been with me for decades. But, even though we did not prepare well before our trip to Turku, the whole trip was unexpectedly smooth. We did not apply for the space, but the person-in-charge gave us a good spot that might not be available if we applied. The three of us had language challenges, but we cooperated well. The entire event was peaceful and went well.”

Following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance at Work

Tomi talked about how he followed the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance at work. “The company was undergoing organizational restructuring, which made most people nervous. Even our department head expressed his dissatisfaction and helplessness during the morning meeting. Everyone felt like they were walking on thin ice, uneasy, and many people complained. Suddenly, my supervisor noticed that I didn’t look worried and he said loudly, ‘How can you smile?!’ When the others looked at me, I said I wasn’t worried and I explained that I practice Falun Dafa. No matter what happens, I try my best to be tolerant and kind.”

He introduced Falun Dafa to his coworkers and they listened attentively.

That afternoon, news spread that the offices would be reduced, and everyone complained. He volunteered to move to the communal computer area. “This surprised my coworkers, because no one would voluntarily give up their vested interest. Several people asked if I was trying to take over the common area. I said I seldom needed a fixed location, but others needed individual rooms. I didn’t want to take over the common area and I would use it when it was free. Then I cleaned the common area and moved my things there. This freed up nearly two shelves of space, transforming the previously cluttered room into a tidy one. The supervisor and manager were happy.”

Looking Within

Thao talked about her cultivation experiences while she distributed Shen Yun brochures in Montpellier, France, in 2024. “In my mind, I set certain ‘standards’ for others. Only those who met those conditions could join my circle and were worth my time and effort. Was this unconditional compassion? No. I realized I needed to broaden my heart capacity. The standards I set for myself were actually limiting me.

“I increasingly realize that humility is one of the most important virtues for women in traditional Chinese culture. An ancient saying goes, ‘The ocean accepts all rivers; its vastness lies in its capacity to embrace.’ The ocean can accommodate all rivers because it is at the lowest point, humbly accepting all streams, large and small. This metaphor tells us that just as the sea is vast because it is low-lying, the human heart can also be vast because of humility. When a person is humble, he can accept and understand others and embrace them with compassion, regardless of good or bad, beauty or ugliness. A humble heart is not attached to ego or pride; by relinquishing these attachments, one can open their heart more fully, and life can truly radiate compassion.”

Practitioners take a group photo after the conference to express their appreciation and respect for Master.
