(Minghui.org) I recently dreamed that fear was blocking the path of many practitioners. In the dream, I was riding a horse and came to a crossroads. Many practitioners lined up near the path on the left, but did not move forward because there was a police checkpoint. I chose the right path, where there was also a police officer but no practitioners. The officer aimed his gun at me. I did not hesitate; I urged the horse to jump over the blockade and I kept going. The policeman didn’t try to stop me. He was frozen in place like a mannequin.
I realized fear stopped the practitioners from passing the checkpoint (a test) and improving on their cultivation paths. Because of fear in our area, there was a decrease in Fa study sites, material production sites, and the number of practitioners going out to clarify the truth. Fear prevented some practitioners from taking on responsibilities in Dafa projects, which meant that for a long time, only a few practitioners shouldered most of the work.
As soon as some practitioners heard what the police were planning to do, they made sure everyone knew about it. They claimed that they did so to protect everyone. One person said, “I already reminded everyone, and if anyone is arrested, you can’t blame me.” These practitioners were frightened and wanted everyone else to be scared, so they instilled fear in them.
The evildoers continuously devise different ways to persecute practitioners, hoping to instill fear and pressure in them and break them down. We should not assist them.
Avoiding Tribulations
A practitioner heard that the police were about to arrest him, so he disappeared; another practitioner planned to move because he was worried about his safety. After talking to other practitioners, many of the practitioners who chose to hide from their problems did not study the Fa well and often played on their phones.
These practitioners can leave the area and hide but they cannot hide from their karma and the old forces which target their notions. The tribulations appear because they have attachments from which they can’t hide. We eliminate attachments by facing our problems.
Imagining Things
Out of fear, some practitioners link unrelated incidents together and become worried, thus artificially creating an attachment. One day, I visited a practitioner, and a siren from a police vehicle went off downstairs, which terrified her. The police were looking for a person in another building and happened to park the vehicle in front of her building. I felt the police vehicle was there to expose her fear.
A practitioner became nervous after hearing about another practitioner’s arrest. She recently met with that practitioner and was worried that the police would come after her, too. Not everyone will have the same tribulation. Also, when facing a problem, different thoughts lead to different consequences. When fear emerges, we should immediately remove it.
Fear often causes practitioners to cut off contact with others and become isolated, making them easy targets for the evildoers.
A practitioner avoided interacting with another practitioner who was involved in an important Dafa project and was known by many other practitioners. She was afraid the police were watching that practitioner.
Another practitioner told others not to go to her home to study the Fa because she noticed a new surveillance camera in her neighborhood. She even singled out certain practitioners and forbade them from going there. She set rules on who should go and when. This created invisible barriers, and practitioners began to distance themselves from one another or even stopped talking to each other.
We should rectify the environment with our righteous thoughts and energy based on the Fa. When we let our notions take over, we artificially create tribulations for ourselves and waste precious time meant for cultivation.
Having fear is the opposite of negating the old forces. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a state machine that exists for us. The police are just a tiny screw in this machine and we should not fear them. Instead, we should have compassion for them and clarify the truth to them.
Some practitioners complain about the lack of local coordination, and they passively waits for others to initiate projects. When a practitioner was arrested, some were indifferent or said there was nothing we could do. Others tried to use their connections to get the practitioner released. None of this conforms to the Fa.
We need to work together and form one body. When a practitioner in another city was arrested, the other practitioners wasted no time in exposing the incident on Minghui.org and spreading the information locally. As a result, the officer’s family, neighbors, and friends knew and talked about what he did and the practitioner was soon released.
We Need to Follow the Teachings
Many practitioners listen to Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, but some don’t. It’s important for us to fully believe in and follow what Master says.
Every day, the practitioners who clarify the truth face to face interact with people who believe the CCP’s propaganda and there are surveillance cameras and police officers on every corner. If they didn’t have faith in what Master says and didn’t have righteous thoughts at all times, they could not accomplish what they do.
The smallest notion can control and manipulate us. We should immediately deny it and use our faith in the Fa to cultivate away every human notion, including our fear.
