Cherish the Opportunity to Save People

(Minghui.org) When I went back to my hometown in 2012 I met my elementary school and middle school teachers. I hadn’t seen them for decades. I realized that this opportunity was arranged by Master. But my husband just passed away, and I had difficulty calming down. I couldn’t focus on doing what practitioners should do. I often blamed myself for this—because I lacked righteous thoughts, many people lost the opportunity to be saved.

I knew that my righteous thoughts were insufficient and this prevented me from doing the three things. I felt this was because I didn’t clearly understand Falun Dafa’s principles. I increased the length of time I read the Fa (teachings) and this greatly improved my cultivation state. I regarded myself as a true cultivator and acted according to Master’s requirements. I also lengthened the time I sent righteous thoughts to four hours every day—I focused on thoroughly eliminating whatever interfered with me and blocked me from saving people.

I often read other practitioners’ sharing articles about passing the test of illness karma, but I rarely experienced this kind of test. I endured many hardships when I went out to clarify the truth, and thus I eliminated much karma. In the summer the temperature reached 40°C [about 104°F]. The temperature was below freezing in the winter. One day, it suddenly rained heavily. The rain poured down, so I stood under an awning and clarified the truth to the people who were standing there to avoid the rain. By the time the rain stopped, I helped six people withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Although I’m in my 70s, I can endure hardships that most people can’t.

Paying Off My Husband’s Debts

When he passed away my husband left a debt of over one million yuan [about over $140,000], and I’ve tried to pay it off for more than a decade. I did not use a penny of the money he borrowed, so at first I felt it was unfair that I was saddled with this debt. Through extensive Fa study, I knew that I should not use human concepts to measure the hardships I encounter in my cultivation. Master explained that hardships are good things. This is an opportunity for me to improve, and I should handle the situation according to the standards for a practitioner. I understand that the process of repaying debts is an opportunity to imrove my cultivation.

My sister works for a university, and she asked two teachers to lend my husband money. After he passed away, I tried my best to pay back the principal, but they also wanted me to pay the interest. One teacher brought my husband’s IOU to my home and insisted that I pay it. I said that I was in a difficult situation and the debts were too much, so I could only make small payments. I said, “I’ll definitely pay you, but it will take a little longer. I practice Falun Dafa, and I’m a honest person. I wasn’t able to pay you because I’ve been persecuted many years for practicing Falun Dafa, and my salary is still being withheld by the goverment. I only receive a few hundred yuan a month—just enough for my basic living expenses.”

I knew that the Fa-rectification was coming to an end, and I wanted to use the opportunity of repaying the money to clarify the truth to them. I tried every way to save money, and I finally saved some. I was reluctant to give it away, and I didn’t pay it back for several months. My right knee began to hurt, and I immediately realized that Master was enlightening me. I only wanted to pay back 10,000 yuan and keep some money for myself, but I thought that I’m a cultivator, and I had to repay them as promised no matter how difficult it was.

I called my sister and told her that I was going to pay the interest to one teacher first. My sister said, “Just give them 5,000 yuan each.” I said, “No, I still have to be honest. I plan to pay the other teacher after the New Year of next year.” It was not easy to find the teacher’s phone number, and it took me a month to find it. I think it was a test of my xinxing.

I tried to get in touch with the teacher, and I called her for three days before I found her. I told her, “I now have the money.” We agreed to meet at a certain time. When we met, I told her, “I’m sorry it took so long. I was in jail for five years for practicing Falun Dafa” She said, “You’re so honest. I thought there was no hope of getting the money back.”

I said, “I practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. I want to be a good person.” The teacher’s husband said, “Why do you still practice?” I said, “Isn’t it good to strive to be a good person? Former CCP head Jiang Zemin persecuted Falun Dafa out of jealousy. The Communist Party does not believe in gods. Many Chinese joined the Youth League and the Communist Youth League when we were young, and then joined the CCP when we grew up. Communism wishes to destroy mankind. I didn’t know you before, but because my husband borrowed money from you, I had this opportunity to meet you.”

I asked them if they were the CCP members, and the woman said, “We have both been CCP members for 50 years.” I said, “Millions of Chinese have already withdrawn from the CCP.” They agreed to quit the CCP.

The female teacher said she was in poor health and had a stroke, diabetes, etc. I told them: “Many people who practice Falun Dafa recovered from their illnesses. If you sincerely recite, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ your health will definitely improve. It depends on your sincerity.” I gave them the money, and they repeatedly thanked me. They said they were sure they would never get the money back. I said, “My Master wants us to be good people. You helped my husband, and this is your money. I’m just glad that you heard the truth about Falun Dafa.”

Clarifying the Truth by Helping Others

One day, I was walking in a crowd, and I noticed an old man looked like he was about to fall. His wife was short, and he was tall, it seemed useless for his wife to support him. Even though the street was crowded, people avoided him. I immediately went up and took his arm, and told him to recite, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I recited with him and asked the old couple to withdraw from the CCP to ensure their safety. They immediately agreed.

A middle-aged woman came to help him. I saw that the old man’s legs seemed stronger, and he felt much better. I called a taxi to take them home.

I turned around and told the other woman, “You are so kind. Most people these days refuse to help others. You are a good person.” I told her that many disasters like COVID are happening now, but gods want to save kind people. The Communist Party does not believe in gods, but gods want to save good people. Withdrawing from the CCP ensures one’s safety. She said she wanted her mother to hear this, so we found her mother and I repeated what I told her daughter. All four people withdrew from the CCP.

Critically Ill Relative Recovers

When we learned that my in-law was critically ill, my daughter-in-law (his daughter), grandson and I went to his home in the countryside. He was lying in bed motionless. His daughter started crying and called out to him. He opened his eyes, looked at them, then closed his eyes. I stood next to his bed and said, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” After I recited these words for more than an hour, he suddenly opened his eyes. His daughter helped him up and he ate a bowl of porridge. He got better and was able to stand up and walk. When they others were surprised, I took this opportunity to clarify the truth and persuaded many people to do the three withdrawals.

Master repeatedly asks practitioners to save more sentient beings. We are offering mankind hope. I need to study the Fa more, send righteous thoughts more, and cultivate myself well, so that I can do a good job in validating the Fa and fulfill my mission of saving people.

Once, after I got on a bus, I actually forgot the name of the stop I was going to. I suudenly became alert. The old forces caused me have the false appearance of Alzheimer’s disease to interfere with me. I immediately and resolutely denied the old forces’ arrangement. At this important moment of Fa-rectification, sentient beings are waiting for us to save them, and we must not delay.

I sent righteous thoughts for an hour one morning, and a golden lotus appeared on the opposite wall. I knew Master was encouraging me. I must maintain righteous thoughts all the times—no matter what challenges I face, I must make validating the Fa and saving sentient beings my top priority.
