(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Cong Facing Trial
2. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Yanqiu Facing Trial
3. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zuo Xiuyun Tried in Court
4. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Huang Wenhai Arrested and Detained
5. [Xinhuang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Chuntao Harassed
1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Cong Facing Trial
Ms. Liu Cong is scheduled to stand trial in the Lianshan Court on the morning of February 18, 2025.
2. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Yanqiu Facing Trial
Ms. Chen Yanqiu from Gaoxin District was scheduled to appear in the Shuangqiao District Court on the morning of February 10, 2025.
3. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zuo Xiuyun Tried in Court
After Ms. Zuo Xiuyun’s hearing by the Minqing County Court around early February 2025, the judge returned her case to the Mingqing County Procuratorate for additional evidence.
4. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Huang Wenhai Arrested and Detained
Huang Wenhai, gender unknown, was stopped at the Siping Railway Station on December 25, 2024 when he was about to travel to Changchun City in the same province. The railway police officers searched Huang. Huang’s home was later ransacked by officers from the Qima Road Police Station. Huang was taken to the Chaoyanggou Lockup and detained for 15 days.
5. [Xinhuang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Chuntao Harassed
Ms. Zhang Chuntao was harassed at home by several officers from the Hetan Township Police Station on the afternoon of January 23, 2025. They ordered her to sign a paper with written statement to renounce Falun Gong. As she refused to comply, her daughter-in-law signed the paper on her behalf.
