Additional Persecution News from China – February 11, 2025 (4 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Guan Guichun Arrested
3. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Mingyu Detained
4. [Gejiu City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Yang Jinhui Persecuted

1. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Four practitioners, including Ms. Jiang Biyin, Ms. Jiang Xi’e, Meiying (last name unknown), and Ms. Lin Suzhen, were studying Falun Gong’s teachings at Ms. Lin’s home on the afternoon of January 22, 2025, when officers from the Xinxing Police Station in Rongcheng District broke in and arrested them. Their homes were ransacked. It is unknown where they are detained.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Guan Guichun Arrested

Mr. Guan Guichun from Xinfu Village of Xiguan Town, Shuangcheng District, was arrested by officers from the Xiguan Town Police Station in early January 2025. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books, computer, and copy paper. He has been held in custody since.

3. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Mingyu Detained

Three officers ransacked Mr. Zhang Mingyu’s home around 6 p.m. on February 7, 2025. They didn’t find anything related to Falun Gong but still took Mr. Zhang, 68, and his wife to the police department for interrogation. Mr. Zhang’s wife was released that evening, but Mr. Zhang was kept in custody and given five days of administrative detention.

4. [Gejiu City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Yang Jinhui Persecuted

Ms. Yang Jinhui, a former civil servant around 60, was arrested on February 24, 2012, and later sentenced to three years in prison. She served time at the Yunnan Province Second Prison and was released on January 23, 2015. Upon returning home, she was devastated to find that she had been fired from her job. She appealed with various government agencies, but to no avail. She was arrested again on July 27, 2024, and detained for 13 days in the Gejiu City Detention Center. The authorities demanded her to stop appealing and threatened to detain her again if she didn’t comply.
