Using Every Opportunity to Clarify the Truth

(Minghui.org) Due to the persecution of Falun Dafa by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I had to leave home to avoid being illegally arrested. Compared to other practitioners, I’ve done very little to clarify the truth about the persecution to people, but I’ve had some touching experiences. I know these were arranged by Master Li to encourage me.

A Fortunate Encounter

A local grocery store is run by two cousins, Aipeng and Bing. I clarified the truth to them and helped them quit the CCP. Due to economic recession and other reasons, their store closed last April. I realized that I hadn’t clarified the truth to Aipeng’s wife and daughters. I previously met them and they were gentle and kind. So I suggested to Aipeng that we have a meal together—I hoped to clarify the truth to his family.

When the day approached, I called Aipeng to confirm. He said his older daughter had a dance class that evening, so he suggested rescheduling. I agreed, and then went to a farmers’ market a few kilometers away to shop using currency which had information about Falun Dafa printed on it. On the way there, I helped the motorcycle taxi driver quit the CCP.

The last time I visited this market, I clarified the truth to a store owner, who was a Christian. But she refused to quit the CCP. When I saw her I took out a copy of Master’s recent lecture “Why Save Sentient Beings” and showed it to her. She read it carefully, and I could see she was moved. In the end, she agreed to quit the CCP, and I further clarified the truth to her.

As I was leaving the market and passing by a barbecue restaurant, someone suddenly called my name. I turned around, and saw Bing, Aipeng, and Aipeng’s wife and daughters sitting around an outdoor table. What a coincidence! Everyone was surprised. It was already 8 p.m., and it turned out that Aipeng’s daughter just finished her class, so they decided to have dinner. Aipeng asked me how long it had been since I last visited this market. I said probably about a year. Everyone marveled at the coincidence, but in my heart, I knew that because I had the wish to save people, Master arranged this opportunity for me.

I ordered some food, and as we ate I clarified the truth and helped Aipeng’s wife and daughters quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I also gave them a booklet which had additional information about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I insisted on paying for everyone’s meal. The two cousins knew that it was too late for me to get a motorcycle taxi and I didn’t have a phone to call for a regular taxi, so they called a taxi for me, and insisted on paying. We then said our heartfelt goodbyes.

Small Acts of Kindness

I learned that one of my relatives received my newly issued ID card, and I headed to her home to get it. The rained was pouring down when I got off the bus. A young woman also got off at that stop, but she did not have an umbrella, so I shared my umbrella with her. My small act of kindness brought us close. The road was flooded and the water was above our ankles. When I noticed that the bus stop sign didn’t list the station I needed to get to, she realized I didn’t have my phone with me and kindly helped me call a taxi.

I couldn’t miss the opportunity to help her be saved. I clarified the truth to her, helped her quit the CCP, and showed her images on my iPad of how Falun Dafa is practiced around the world.

When the taxi driver refused to take me, she helped me stop a motorcycle taxi. On the way to the subway station I clarified the truth to the driver and helped him quit the CCP. He kindly reminded me to stay safe.

Nothing happens by chance. If I had taken the regular taxi, which has in-car recordings, I wouldn’t have been able to clarify the truth, and I would have missed the predestined opportunity with this motorcycle taxi driver.

I usually clarify the truth as opportunities arise. Last month, I asked a young man at a bus stop for directions. He was riding an electric scooter and said he was going in the same direction and could give me a ride for a little over 10 yuan. He also offered me some plums he'd just bought.

While chatting on the road, I mentioned how difficult life has become for ordinary people nowadays. I spoke about the CCP’s history of killing and the forced organ harvesting from Falun Dafa practitioners. I then explained more about Falun Dafa. This young man accepted what I said without hesitation. He was shocked to hear the facts that the CCP covered up. He agreed to quit the CCP and thanked me repeatedly.

On my way back, I saw an honest-looking food delivery man, and I asked him for directions. He suggested I hop on his electric scooter since he was heading that way. He said he would deliver a birthday cake first and then take me to the subway station.

I noticed he was wearing a pair of worn-out plastic sandals, his heels almost touching the ground. Feeling a sense of compassion, I went to a nearby shop to look for a suitable pair of sandals for him. When he returned, he was deeply moved. On our way, we visited three different shops until we finally found a pair of sandals he liked. They only cost 15 yuan, and I insisted on paying for them. He told me that he worked in a factory and delivered food after work. After three years of the COVID pandemic, life had become extremely difficult for him.

As he drove I thoroughly clarified the truth to him, helped him quit the CCP, and encouraged him to share the truth with his family. I also gave him a truth-clarifying currency bill with “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” printed on it. He was very touched.

I strive to cultivate compassion in every thought and action. Small acts of kindness can bridge the gap between us and sentient beings, allowing them to see the beauty of Dafa and clearing obstacles when we clarify the truth to them.

Persuading Shop Owners to Remove the Red Flags

Every year before October 1st (the CCP’s National Day), the CCP forces people to hang up it’s red flags in places like local shops. Some of these flags remain for a long time, poisoning people and interfering with their chances of being saved. Over the years, when I passed by shops displaying these flags, I told the owners, “I know a little about “feng shui.” Displaying those flags isn’t good for you. According to the CCP, the red flag is stained with the blood of those who died in the war. Shouldn’t they be in cemeteries? The energy emitted by this bloody flag is negative, and it doesn’t attract people. If you want your business to thrive, you shouldn’t hang this. Feng shui masters have said that having this in a business leads to financial loss. Displaying this isn’t good for your health, either.”

Most people thank me and take the flags down. Once, in a large shopping mall, after speaking with several shop owners, I collected 12 red flags and I burned them. Another time, I was dining in a restaurant and spoke to the owner. He immediately removed the small red flag and thanked me repeatedly.

One supermarket hung more than a hundred small red flags at its entrance last year, and its business dwindled. I occasionally shopped there, but I never saw the manager. I finally saw him and said, “Your store is clean and well-managed, so business should be better. Do you know why it’s not doing as well as it could?” Then I gave the above explanation to him.

The manager said that he and the owner didn’t believe in feng shui. I responded, “You’re not a government official. You’re running a business to make money. Take down those little red flags, as it’s the best for your business. I truly hope your business does well!” He thanked me but didn’t commit to taking down the flags.

A short while later, when I passed by the supermarket again, I saw that all the flags were gone, and I immediately felt the atmosphere cleared.

It’s unfortunate that many times I didn’t continue to clarify the truth and help people quit the CCP. I need to do this better going forward.
