Feb. 25, 2025 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Hunan Province, China

(Minghui.org) Three Huaihua City, Hunan Province residents were sentenced to prison on February 13, 2025 for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.

Ms. Wu Fangming, 60, was given four years. Ms. Yin Qiuyang, 75, was sentenced to three and a half years. Ms. Jiang Changxian, 59, received three years. The women said they planned to appeal the illegal convictions. It’s not clear if they are still held at the Huaihua City Detention Center.

The three women were arrested between September and October 2023. Their cases were assigned to Zhijiang County, which has been designated to handle Falun Gong cases in the greater Huaihua region.

Prosecutor Zhou Yulan from the Zhijiang County Procuratorate indicted the three practitioners, who were then tried separately by judge Chen Qingzhen of the Zhijiang County Court.

All three women made multiple court appearances. During their last known court hearings between December 16-17, 2024, prosecutor Zhou and judge Chen shouted, “Don’t talk to me about the law.”

For details of the three women’s arrests and court appearances, see the related reports.
