People in a Mountainous Area Miraculously Obtain the Fa

(Minghui.org) Taoyuan is the descendant of a wealthy family that went bankrupt before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) took over her mountain village. Luckily her family was not persecuted by the CCP. She got married and moved to an area on the plains.

Obtaining the Fa

Falun Dafa spread to the mountain village in 1996. One night Taoyuan saw an extraordinary man in a dream.

She went back to see her mother in the village two days later. As soon as she reached the village, an elderly woman invited her to watch the Falun Dafa video lectures in her home. Taoyuan went there with her mother. When she saw the video, she was surprised because the extraordinary man from her dream was Master.

After watching the video lectures, Taoyuan’s mother said, “I went to different temples and burned incense to pay respect to Buddha statues. I didn’t know which practice was real and which was fake. I obtained the real Fa today.”

From then on, Taoyuan and her mother got up at 4 a.m. to do the Falun Dafa exercises every day. They studied the Fa and cultivated diligently.

The CCP launched the persecution of Falun Dafa in July 1999. Local police came to her mother’s home and asked her if she still practiced Falun Dafa. Taoyuan’s mother said, “This is a very good practice. Why should I stop? It heals illnesses and keeps me fit. It asks people to do good, not bad, and to look within when having conflicts. Please tell your leaders and ask them to practice Falun Dafa.” The police didn’t say anything and left.

One winter it snowed heavily in the mountains. The village loudspeaker slandered Falun Dafa hysterically. People were made to gather in the village government compound and were forced to criticize Falun Dafa under the CCP’s duress. Taoyuan’s mother was in her nineties at the time. She walked with a stick among the crowd, telling people the facts about Falun Dafa, how Falun Dafa was framed, and she tried to restore Master’s reputation. Many people looked at her with respect. They admired her for her courage to expose the evil of the CCP in such an environment. She was not an ordinary elderly woman. She maintained her righteous thoughts and actions until the assembly finished.

Taoyuan’s mother often sat outside her house and told passersby the facts about Falun Dafa, gave them Falun Dafa amulets, and taught them to recite “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

Two Magical Slaps

The base of Taoyuan’s house was low, and the area around her house often collected water. Her neighbor Lai’er stored firewood in this lower ground. She asked him to remove the firewood so that she could fill the land to the level of ground. He didn’t want to listen and bad mouthed her. She felt he was being unreasonable and talked back. He then hit her.

Taoyuan remembered Master’s teaching:

“As a practitioner, the first thing you should be able to do is to not fight back when you are beaten or sworn at—you must be tolerant.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)

Taoyuan just stood there and didn’t move. Lai’er became angrier and slapped her hard twice in the face. She stumbled and ran to the side of the street. Several villagers came over and asked her to call his father or the police.

When they reprimanded Lai’er and comforted Taoyuan, they found that Taoyuan’s face looked somewhat different. She had always had lump as large as a big date on the left side of her face for more than 30 years. She felt pain from it sometimes. The two sudden slaps had removed the lump and hadn’t left a scar on her face. She touched the left side of her face with her hand and it felt very comfortable. She felt so happy. The villagers at the scene were stunned by this amazing occurrence.

She understood that the karma had been transformed when she maintained her xinxing in the conflict. When her xinxing improved, her physical body underwent a big change. Some bad things were dissolved. The lump on her face disappeared. These bad things could no longer stay there. This incident attracted more people to practice Falun Dafa.

When the persecution started, Taoyuan stepped out to clarify the truth to people. She knows that it is not easy for the practitioners in the mountainous area. They are very precious. She goes back to her hometown at the weekends and studies the Fa and practices the exercises with them. She has been doing this with determination for 30 years.

Falun Dafa Gave Her a Second Life

Luyuan comes from the same village as Taoyuan. She moved out of the mountainous area to a city on the plains after marriage. She obtained the Fa when the persecution had just started, but stopped practicing Falun Dafa due to the brutal persecution. She later contracted a rare disease and spent a lot of money on medical expenses, but could not find a cure. She was unable to live independently.

Luyuan then remembered Falun Dafa. She went back to her hometown and found Taoyuan. She picked up Falun Dafa again and quickly recovered from her illness. She now practices Falun Dafa wholeheartedly. She said that Master and Falun Dafa gave her a second life, that she would safeguard Falun Dafa with her life, and that no matter how severe the persecution is, she will not change her belief in Falun Dafa.
