(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hou Shihua and His Wife Ms. Meng Fancui Arrested
2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Three Members of a Family Arrested
3. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Shaoyi’s Home Ransacked
4. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Cao Zhengde’s Home Ransacked

6. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Xiuzhi and Ms. Sun Yueying Harassed
7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fan Xiurong Detained for 10 Days
8. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Bihui Harassed

1. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Hou Shihua and His Wife Ms. Meng Fancui Arrested

Mr. Hou Shihua and his wife Ms. Meng Fancui from Tugou Village, Shizilu Town, Ju’nan County, were arrested at home at noon on February 24, 2025. Their home was ransacked. The couple’s whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Three Members of a Family Arrested

Ms. Yang Fenglian, her daughter Ms. Du Likun, and son-in-law Mr. Ma were arrested around 11 p.m. on February 19, 2025. The following afternoon, Ms. Yang and her daughter Ms. Du were taken to Handan City Third Detention Center and Mr. Ma was taken to Handan City Second Detention Center.

On February 28, 2025, Ms. Yang’s family hired three lawyers from Beijing. The lawyers were barred from seeing the practitioners in the detention centers. After the lawyers filed a complaint about the police and detention center officials, they were allowed to visit their clients.

3. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Shaoyi’s Home Ransacked

The director and deputy director of Bokou Township Police Station in Wei County and two other people went to the home of Mr. Yang Shaoyi, in his 70s, in the Zhangnan area, Wei County, on the morning of February 26, 2025. They ransacked his home, tore down couplets on his front door, and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and a copy of Zhuan Falun.

4. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Cao Zhengde’s Home Ransacked

Officers from the Hantai District Domestic Security Division broke into the home of Ms. Cao Zhengde, who is nearly 80 years old, and ransacked the place on February 12, 2025. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, informational materials, a computer, and speakers, among other personal belongings, without producing a search warrant. They ordered Ms. Cao to reveal the source of the printed materials by threatening to arrest her family members, deprive them of housing benefits, and take away her children’s jobs.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Huarong Harassed for Years

Ms. Zhu Huarong, 61, from the Jiangbei District was sentenced to two years with a 3,000-yuan fine on August 15, 2020. She was allowed to serve time outside of prison. Even after her term had expired, the police and residential committee staffers continue to monitor and harass her on a regular basis.

6. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Xiuzhi and Ms. Sun Yueying Harassed

Ms. Chen Xiuzhi and Ms. Sun Yueying were harassed and had their photos taken on the morning of February 19, 2025, by the township police and Sun Yuxin, a member of Niguantun Village Committee in Baoguantun Town, Nanpi County.

7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fan Xiurong Detained for 10 Days

Over ten officers from the Gongshan Police Station in Linzi District broke into the home of Ms. Fan Xiurong, in her 60s, in mid-June 2024. They confiscated three Falun Gong books and took her to the police station. She passed the physical exam and was admitted to the Zibo City Detention Center for a 10-day term.
