(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Lu Lianyi Transferred to Chadian Prison

Mr. Lu Lianyi, a peasant in Shandongzhuang Town, the Pinggu District, was sentenced to 22 months in prison and fined 4,000 yuan by the Pinggu Court on October 2024, for distributing Falun Gong flyers. He has been imprisoned since June 5, 2024.

His family was notified after the 2025 Chinese New Year that he had been transferred to the Chadian Prison in Tianjin, and he had diabetes and was taking medication.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Na Zibo Arrested

Mr. Na Zibo was arrested at home on the morning of February 27, 2025, and his home was ransacked. Bystanders first saw police cars and officers in front of his home, then another police car and six or seven officers arrived. Another practitioner disappeared that day. Details are unknown.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Airong Harassed

Ms. Lu Airong was forced to flee home in Ziqiang Neighborhood. Officers had been staking out her home. The power of her home was cut off.

4. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zhongfang Arrested, Imprisoned, and Sentenced without Notifying Her Family

Ms. Wang Zhongfang, around 70, of Pingdu City, was arrested and put into the Jimo District Pudong Detention Center on January 3, 2024. She was sentenced to three years in prison and transferred to Jinan City Prison on October 17, 2024. Her family was kept in the dark about the entire process.

At noon on December 31, 2024, two women and a man, claiming to be from the Yunshan Communist Party Committee, went to her family and delivered “Notification on Returning Social Security Benefits.” They asked her husband to return her entire year’s of social security money. He refused.

5. [Beijing] Mr. Li Xuefeng Detained

Mr. Li Xuefeng’s family received a regular mail from the Jiuxianqiao Police Station. It stated that Mr. Li was arrested on February 25, 2025 and was taken to the Chaoyang District Lockup the same day for a 14-day administrative detention. According to the officers involved in his arrest, surveillance cameras recorded him distributing Falun Gong flyers in the Jiuxianqiao area, and a data search led to his arrest.

6. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Shubin and Ms. He Xiurong Harassed

Ms. Yu Shubin was taken from her home by several officers from the Xinbin Town Police Station on the morning of February 26, 2025. The officers ransacked her home, seized her Falun Gong books, and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong. They questioned her in the police station before releasing her.The officers went to Ms. He Xiurong’s home at night, ransacked the place, seized her Falun Gong books, took her to the police station, questioned her, and released her.

7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lian Minqin Ordered to Report to Domestic Security Division

Ms. Lian Minqin was arrested by officers from the Binhai Police Department and Domestic Security Division three months ago for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail. She was notified on February 24, 2025 that her case had been submitted to the procuratorate, and that she should report to the Domestic Security Division for investigation on March 3, 2025.

8. [Yangxin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Binping Sentenced

Ms. Sun Binping was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Yangxin County Court on December 31, 2024. Since she has a breast tumor, she is allowed to serve the sentence outside of prison.She was observed by surveillance cameras placing Falun Gong flyers on bicycle handlebars. Officers from the Yangxin County Police Department tracked her, and broke into her home on the evening of March 30, 2024, seized her Falun Gong books, cell phones, and other belongings. She was released on bail on April 1, 2024. The Yangxin Procuratorate issued a release on bail on October 10, 2024. The Yangxin Court held her hearing on October 27, 2024.

9. [Shanghai] Ying Yu’s Home Under Surveillance

Ying Yu, gender unknown, has been under surveillance since March 1, 2025. Watchers have been staked outside of her apartment building around the clock.

10. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jiang Shan Detained

Ms. Jiang Shan, in her 40s, was arrested by officers from the Changqing Police Station in February 2025, for talking to subway passengers about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained for five days.

11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Qingyun and Ms. Yu Ling Arrested

Ms. Ma Qingyun and Ms. Yu Ling, of Xiong County, Baoding City, were arrested in Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Details are unknown.

12. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Qiyan Released on Bail

Ms. Wang Qiyan, 85, of Pinpdingshan City, lives in Zhengdong District, Zhengzhou City. She talked to three street fruit vendors about the importance of withdrawing from the Communist Party and gave them some flyers in July 2024. They reported her. She was arrested on August 5, 2024. Officers ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books, handwritten scripts, and flyers. The Zhengdong District Police Department tried to put her into a detention center, but the center refused to admit her because of her health condition. She was released on bail.

13. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiu Li Harassed

Ms. Xiu Li is the caregiver of her 90-year-old mother, who is suffering from amnesia and aphasia, and unable to take care of herself. At around 11 a.m. on February 25, 2025, when she was feeding her mother, two officers from the Luocheng Police Station broke into her home with police camcorders. They questioned her, asked what her name was, how many people lived there, and if she knew Chen Daoxiu, etc. Her mother sat aside grunting terrifyingly. They then left.

Another two officers came within twenty minutes, and said, “You were reported. Domestic Security Division officers will come soon.” Two plainclothes people came after ten or more minutes, claiming they were from Domestic Security Division, and seized her Falun Gong books. Her husband grabbed back two books from them. One in plainclothes threatened, “We have been kind, leave the picture (of the founder of Falun Gong) alone. Books must be confiscated. Otherwise, you go with us.”
