(Minghui.org) Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa during the Asia Pacific School Psychology Association’s (APSPA) 7th International Conference, which was held March 6 to 8, 2025. The conference was held at the Pilar Retreat Centre in Goa, and drew many educators who were passionate about bettering psychological services in schools across the Asia-Pacific region.
Professor Panch Ramalingam, the international president of APSPA, invited the practitioners to his conference for three years to introduce Falun Dafa and demonstrate the exercises. This year, he invited them to share their perspective on the conference’s theme, “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of School Psychology and Education.”

In their session on Falun Dafa, the practitioners spoke about the core principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and how they could better human relationships. They also demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and explained how they could help people find inner peace by connecting with the principles.
They also spoke about the current state of artificial intelligence development and how it may pose a danger to society if ethics and morality are not considered when building out the technology. Falun Dafa and the moral values it emphasizes, said the practitioners, can ensure that AI developers have a solid ethical foundation when they make technological advancements.
Afterward, the practitioners demonstrated the five exercises of Falun Dafa and invited the audience to participate in the second exercise. Over 40 research scholars, doctors, and professors in the psychology area from several nations, including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Singapore, attended the practitioners’ session.

After the practitioners’ session, they gifted copies of Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong—Falun Dafa’s primary books—to two of the event organizers. Dr. Janet Fernandes, a professor of psychology at St. Xavier’s College, and Dr. Father Frederick Rodrigues, an associate professor and priest at Father Agnel College.
Dr. Fernandes shared her positive experience with Falun Dafa over the years at the ASPSA conference. “I’ve attended the Falun Dafa meditation sessions during APSPA conferences in the past. This is a wonderful practice and considering the day to day hectic schedule, the Falun Dafa meditation will surely help to improve wellness and keep our minds calm while handling our daily workload,” she said.

Father Rodrigues was interested in holding a Falun Dafa session for the students at his college. He said that Falun Dafa, which features these core values, is a must for students in their college years to guide them and help them be responsible.
Several participants said they felt relaxed and energetic after they did the exercises.
“This exercise gave a pleasant and relaxed feeling,” said Dr. Freda Cota Pereira, one of the session participants. She also said the session was conducted very well.
Elvira Pereira, a teacher at St. Xavier’s College, said she felt very energetic after doing the exercises. She said she wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa because she wished to improve her physical and mental health.
Dr. Prince C.P., associate professor of Psychology at Royal Global University, invited practitioners to conduct similar sessions for the faculty and students at his college.
Similarly, Dr. Shweta Ahirwar, the head of operations at an NGO, approached practitioners after the session was over and said she heard good things about the Falun Dafa session from a colleague. She invited practitioners to introduce Falun Dafa at the next conference her organization was planning.
