(Minghui.org) A practitioner’s sharing article on another website became very popular and spread widely among practitioners. The author said his righteous thoughts were powerful in other dimensions. However, when he sent righteous thoughts, instead of doing what Master Li told us and saying the verses Master taught us, he said about 500 words of his own understanding before he sent righteous thoughts. Because this seemed powerful and effective in other dimensions, a veteran practitioner highly recommended it and spread the article among practitioners. This led some practitioners to worship the author, and they began sending righteous thoughts the way he did.

I think that the practitioner who came up with a new way to send righteous thoughts and shared it, as well as the practitioners who spread the article and used his method, are disrupting the Fa.

We should study the Fa well and differentiate what’s good or bad based on the Fa, not according to our preferences. Master told us on multiple occasions, “... take the Fa as your teacher.” (“Teachings at the Conference in the Eastern U.S.”)

Still, some practitioners blindly worship other practitioners, because they believe that these practitioners cultivate well, memorize the Fa well, or have powerful supernormal abilities.

Minghui.org has always been the reliable source for news about Falun Dafa and where Master’s articles are published. It’s a platform with good resources that help us in cultivation. I feel a practitioner’s attitude toward Minghui.org reflects his state of cultivation.

In Minghui Editorials “Notice: A Second Authentic New Article of Master Li Since July 22, 1999 Will Be Published in a Few Days,” it says that Master told us, “... on important matters, practitioners must pay attention to the attitude of Minghui Net.”

Many practitioners have cultivated for years, but some still don’t pay attention to Minghui. They like to learn from other practitioners and spread their articles on other websites. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t read those articles, but we need to be cautious. If the contents are not in line with the Fa or Minghui’s position, we should not download and spread them among practitioners.

Many practitioners like to read about new and interesting things, hearsay, or others boasting about their achievements. This reflects their strong attachments, and, influenced by these attachments, what they consider good might not be. Master said,

“The Buddha School and the Tao School are orthodox schools, not because the characteristic of the universe conforms to their practices, but because the cultivation practices of both the Buddha School and the Tao School observe the characteristic of the universe.” (Lecture Five, Zhuan Falun)

If we want to improve and cultivate well, we must study the Fa and look within instead of reading about and learning from what other practitioners do. This is disrespectful of Master and the Fa.

Master told us,

“As soon as some monks discussed Buddhist sutras through the lens of their own interpretations, and did so using ordinary people’s terms, or wrote books of that sort, they immediately dragged people into their own confines. They would put forth interpretations of a Buddhist sutra. Buddha Shakyamuni’s words were of a very high level and contained so much deeper meaning. Yet those monks had enlightened to none of it. That was because their cultivation levels were low! So their words, when taken to heart by Buddhists, lead and confine people to the monk’s own cognitive framework. It seems like a good thing they were doing, as it appears they were encouraging people in the study of Buddhism. But weren’t they in reality undermining Buddha Fa? Undermining Buddha Fa can assume different forms. Some saboteurs praise it and disrupt it at the same time. Such damage is the hardest to detect and see through, and the most damaging. Buddha Shakyamuni’s Dharma is no longer passed down in India precisely because of this.” (“Lessons from Buddhism,” Zhuan Falun Volume II)

I hope the practitioners who changed the way they send righteous thoughts calm down and read the Minghui Editorials: “Do Not Change the Nature of Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts” and “Editorial: The Essentials to Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts and the Schedule for Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts at Set Times Around the World (Update 2).”
