(Minghui.org) As Shen Yun continued touring Europe, Oceania, and North America between February 24 and March 2, 2025, the performing arts company consistently receives recognition and praise from government officials worldwide, both through written remarks and post-performance reviews.

Prior to Shen Yun’s opening performance in Las Vegas on February 27, the company received congratulatory remarks from Nevada Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony and Assemblymember Richard DeLong.

“The Messaging is Really What I Enjoyed”

Having enjoyed Shen Yun’s performance last season, Nevada Lieutenant Governor Anthony returned this year eager for more.
“One of the things I learned is that this particular production has some of the best dancing and the best costumes, and color,” he said.
“The messaging is really what I enjoyed. It was a messaging of God, liberty, and independence, and really living in a country where you value individualism, and liberty and freedom,” he said.
Amid this fast-paced and tension-filled world, Lt. Gov. Anthony expressed, “It’s a good time to come here and see some wonderful dancers and the wonderful singers—the orchestra was absolutely phenomenal—and to take a couple of hours out of the day to witness something that is absolutely magical.”
He would like to thank all of Shen Yun’s artists “for the countless hours that they must have put in throughout their lives to become the great dancers that they are, and the great talents that they are.
“They didn’t do this overnight. They put in countless hours to make sure they did this, and I very much appreciate that they would do this for us, and come out and let us see the things that they’ve learned during their years,” he said.
“It’s Incredibly Magical”
Hon. Jacqui Munro (NTD Television)
NSW (New South Wales) Shadow Assistant Minister for the Arts Hon. Jacqui Munro saw Shen Yun in Sydney on February 26.
“The show is beautiful. It’s so colorful and vibrant,” said Ms. Munro.
“The dancers are just incredible—they’re so fluid and beautiful, and the music is excellent as well... The musicians are very talented,” she said.
“It’s incredibly magical, actually,” she said, referring to Shen Yun’s patented digital background that interacts with the stage.
“Obviously, the technology that goes on behind it is really quite modern, I think... And it really allows us to be transported into a new world and really explore that new world.
“I guess all the performers draw on that spirituality to give them strength, not only to perform but to continue to learn and to continue to practice that craft over time, whether they’re in Australia, or in America or around the world.
“They have this sense of duty, I suppose, to share this culture with the world,” Ms. Munro said.
“These Two Hours Passed Very Quickly”
David Cheng-Wei Wu (NTD Television)
David Cheng-Wei Wu, director general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, saw Shen Yun in Sydney on February 26. This was his second time seeing Shen Yun.
“These two hours passed very quickly. Of course, the performance is wonderful. I think one of the feelings this performance gave me was... changing and unchanging. The changes refer to the costumes of all the actors, the arrangement of the entire performance, and the performance of the live orchestra, including the new compositions. These were refreshing to all the audience. I think that’s the changing part.
“The unchanging part is obviously the persistence in Chinese culture, the artistic meaning, and the kind and true way. I guess that’s the unchanging part. This is also a very important aspect that Shen Yun’s performances abroad want to convey,” he said.
Mr. Wu strongly recommended Shen Yun, “I also hope that more people from overseas, whether they are from Taiwan, Hong Kong, or even China, can come and see Shen Yun’s wonderful performances with their own eyes.”
“Pursuit of Excellence”
Piero Tozzi, staff director of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, saw Shen Yun in Washington, D.C. on March 1. This was his third time seeing Shen Yun.
“It’s an expression of creativity and also respect for tradition... It’s something that is rooted in tradition but it expresses it in a vibrant and new manner,” said Mr. Tozzi, who is familiar with Chinese culture, including the traditional Chinese culture that Shen Yun seeks to bring to life.
“Of course, the music and the dance are very spectacular, but also the colors,” Mr. Tozzi said. “The colors are very vivid. What the dancers wear and the background animation is also, I think, very striking.”
The erhu virtuoso also struck a chord with Mr. Tozzi, who described the performance as “very, very, very evocative.”
“First of all, her technical performance is excellent, but also, I think it conveys a certain amount of emotion and mood as well,” he said.
Mr. Tozzi said Shen Yun’s level of artistry was obviously very high, and that in itself inspires, recalling Aristotle’s concept of “arete,” or excellence as a moral virtue.
“It’s excellence, but it’s also not just technical excellence, it’s also virtue,” Mr. Tozzi explained. “It could be poetry... Li Bai there, for example, the striving for excellence. And it has both a moral character and a technical character.”
“Whenever you see human creativity and the pursuit of excellence, that’s very inspiring,” he said.
Spanish Newspaper Reports on Shen Yun
Shen Yun World Company at a sold-out house at the Lienzo Norte in Ávila, Spain on February 26 (The Epoch Times)
According to the local organizers of Shen Yun, among the seven cities in Spain that will host Shen Yun this year, tickets for the first six cities have all sold out in advance. In Seville, the last city to host Shen Yun, more than 90% of the tickets have been sold.
The organizers said that He Yong had interfered with Shen Yun’s performances when he was the cultural counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Peru, but failed, and now he attempted again. The Spanish organizers have disclosed the acts of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to the Spanish National Police, and He Yong is facing judicial investigation. Because Shen Yun’s performances around the world have continuously received bomb threats from the CCP, the Spanish police will provide protection for the performances and performers throughout the process.
On February 27, the local newspaper Diario de Ávila published both online and in the newspaper an article about Shen Yun. The article was titled, “A tribute to ancient Chinese culture.”

The article stated, “Shen Yun, the world’s leading classical Chinese music and dance company, is coming to Lienzo Norte these days with two sold-out performances.”
The article also stated, “At the end of winter, Shen Yun’s warm embrace of this ancient heritage is a wonderful way to welcome the new season, and is a highly accessible, educational, and entertaining experience.”
“Shen Yun Has a Very Important Influence”
Luz Marina Lorenzo Gea (NTD Television)
Luz Marina Lorenzo Gea, a representative of the Assembly of Murcia, saw Shen Yun in Murcia, Spain, on March 1.
“Shen Yun is so wonderful. I love Shen Yun. It is such a marvelous show! I’m very, very, very emotional,” she said.
“We are very happy that Shen Yun can come to Murcia. All three performances were sold out. What a huge success. Congratulations to Shen Yun.
“For all of us, Shen Yun has a very important influence, and this is also true for Spanish people. Sometimes we may think that countries like China are very far away from us geographically, but we do share common emotions. We also have many Chinese neighbors and compatriots around us. Through the traditions presented by Shen Yun, and through the spirit of Shen Yun’s fight for freedom, we can also observe and learn from art and culture, and experience the values expressed by Shen Yun in Spain,” she said.
“It Enriches Everyone”
Antonio Martínez Pastor and his wife (The Epoch Times)
Antonio Martínez Pastor, a representative of the Assembly of Murcia and a medical expert, saw Shen Yun with his wife in Murcia on March 2.
“The transmission of energy is very important. In fact, people will leave this show with a different spirit than the one they came in with. Very positive!” he said.
“I think it is very good to present culture through such performances. This is good for us because it enriches everyone.
“I want to express my gratitude to the (Shen Yun) artists because they transmitted energy, emotions, and values. I think this is very important for the society we live in, very important!” he said.
“A Very Expressive and Compelling Form of Art”
Greg Scarlatoiu (The Epoch Times)
Greg Scarlatoiu, president and CEO of the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea, saw Shen Yun in Washington, D.C., on February 25.
“It’s pre-communist China. It’s ancient China. It’s a China of thousands and thousands of years. So, it’s a different version that’s viewed as a threat by the CCP,” Mr. Scarlatoiu said.
“It was a very dynamic show,” he said. “The artistic expression made perfect sense. I could perfectly understand the story, be part of the story, be immersed into the story. It was very enjoyable.
“I think that this very harmonious blend of dance, music, choreography, poetry is very pleasing to the eyes and the ears,” he said. “It’s also very compelling. It’s a very expressive and compelling form of art.
“The CCP is a very serious human rights violator, committing crimes against humanity, committing genocide, committing grave crimes against Falun Gong believers, against Uyghurs, against North Koreans who get forcibly repatriated to North Korea. So, it’s truly a human rights nightmare. And I think that Shen Yun art does focus attention on all of those aspects, and it’s very important.
“It’s a very important form of artistic expression that can tell the very compelling and tragic story of human rights violations in China,” he said.
Mr. Scarlatoiu said Shen Yun’s mission was “a very important endeavor.”
“It’s very important because this is the very identity of the Chinese people. The history, culture, civilization, identity of this ancient nation and civilization is not defined by the CCP. It’s defined by those 5,000 years of history and civilization,” he said.
