(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu Arrested
7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kang Guiyun Released from Prison; Term Extended by Nine Months

1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Rui Faces Trial

Ms. Shi Rui was scheduled to appear in the Yunhe District Court at 9 a.m. on February 25, 2025.

2. [Ningjin County, Hebei Province] Wang Yuguo Detained

Wang Yuguo, gender unknown, of Caochang Village, Dalucun Town, was arrested by Ningjin County Domestic Security Division officers on the evening of February 19, 2025, for distributing Falun Gong flyers. The officers confiscated Wang’s Falun Gong books and printouts. Wang is being held in the Ningjin County Lockup.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Tong Mingyu on Hunger Strike for 100 Days and Counting; Tried in February 2025

Mr. Tong Mingyu was arrested on November 20, 2024. He has been held in the Shuangcheng Detention Center and has been on a hunger strike since. He appeared in the Daoli District Court on February 13, 2025. His lawyer entered a not-guilty plea for him.

4. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Eleven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Shi Zhiqin of Changning Town and an elderly practitioner, name and gender unknown, were arrested in a street market by Changning Town Police Station officers on January 13, 2025, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Luannan County Domestic Security Division. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books and pictures of the founder of Falun Gong. They were released that night.

Mr. Jiang Shunbao and six practitioners were arrested at his home on the afternoon of January 13, 2025. His Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and Falun Gong printouts were confiscated. The six practitioners were released after 7 p.m. the next day, after a brief detention at the county police department. Mr. Jiang was detained for 10 days and released on January 24, 2025.

Mr. Jiang was arrested again on February 8, 2025, and taken to Luannan County Domestic Security Division by the division’s captain Bi Dajun, and Tangshan City Domestic Security Division officers. They questioned him about the source of his Falun Gong printouts. He kept quiet and was held in the Luannan County Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Xiaoxia and Ms. Pan Surong were arrested by the Chengguan Police Station officers on February 9, 2025, when they were talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at a public square. The police raided their homes and confiscated their Falun Gong books. Ms. Liu is being held in the county lockup. Ms. Pan is detained in the Tangshan City Detention Center.

5. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Xia Fuying and Xu Arrested

Ms. Xia Fuying, in her 80s, was arrested at home by two plainclothes officers from Jiayuguanxilu Police Station on the afternoon of January 6, 2025. Practitioner Xu, gender and first name unknown, happened to be visiting Ms. Xia and was arrested at the same time. The officers seized a copy of Zhuan Falun and a copy of Minghui Weekly. Both practitioners were taken to the police station and released after 9 p.m.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Zhaoyu Arrested

Ms. Zhang Zhaoyun of Chaoyang District was arrested by Changping Police Department officers on February 6, 2025. She has been released.

7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kang Guiyun Released from Prison; Term Extended by Nine Months

Ms. Kang Guiyun was arrested on November 27, 2021, and sentenced to 2.5 years in August 2022. When her term expired in May 2024, the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison extended her term by seven months and didn’t release her until February 2025.
