(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Zonglin Faces Indictment

1. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Zonglin Faces Indictment

Mr. Yang Zonglin, 68, a retired official of Pingliang City Forestry Institute, was arrested on the afternoon of March 21, 2025, while he was talking to people about Falun Gong. The arresting officers from Kongtong District Domestic Security Division ransacked his home, leaving the place in a mess. It was not clear what was confiscated. Mr. Yang was taken to Kongtong District Detention Center afterward. The police delivered an undated detention notice for him to his family on March 22 and said that he would be detained for 15 days.

When his family went to pick him up 15 days later, the police refused to release him, saying that his arrest had been approved and that they had submitted his case to the Kongtong District Procuratorate.

2. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Shen Lousheng Arrested

Five officers from the Huangmei County Police Department broke into Mr. Shen Lousheng’s home in Sanfenchang Residential Community, Longganhu Administrative Management Area, around April 7, 2025. As soon as they entered his home, the officers started rummaging through cabinets and drawers. They revealed that he was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. They took away all the Falun Gong books, printed materials, and audio players. His home was turned into a complete mess. After taking him to the Longganhu Prison, the police didn’t provide him with any water or food for the two days he was held there.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Yujuan and her daughter, Ms. Ma Huaizhen, and her husband were arrested by officers from the Yishui County Domestic Security Division on April 1, 2025. Many of their personal belongings were confiscated. Ms. Li, her daughter, and Ms. Ma are being held in Linyi City Detention Center, while Ms. Ma’s husband is being held in the Yishui County Detention Center.

4. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Rongming Missing

Mr. Liu Rongming, in his 70s, from Luohuang Town, Jiangjin District, had been forced to live away from home since 2015, to avoid being arrested for filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party, who launched the persecution of Falun Gong. His family lost contact with him around March 8, 2025. They suspected that he may have been arrested.

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Lu Fenghua and Ms. Jia Quanmei were arrested by officers from the Yinzhu Police Station while distributing Falun Gong materials in a residential community on the afternoon of March 18, 2025. They were held in Pudong Detention Center. According to insiders, the police had been following them for a period of time before the arrests.

A third practitioner, Ms. Cui Ying, was arrested by four unidentified agents outside of her company when she got off work on March 18, 2025. She is currently held in Jimo Detention Center.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Zhou Hongyan Arrested

Zhou Hongyan, gender unknown, was arrested by the local police on April 9, 2025. Zhou’s home was also ransacked.
