Peaceful Protests at Two Chinese Consulates in Japan to Commemorate the April 25 Appeal

(Minghui.org) Kumamoto Falun Dafa practitioners held protests in front of the Chinese Consulates in Fukuoka and Nagasaki, Japan, on April 20, 2025. They were commemorating the peaceful April 25 Appeal in Beijing 26 years ago. Their statements exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution and called for an immediate end to the atrocities being committed against Falun Dafa practitioners.

Practitioners read a statement in front of each consulate. The statement recounted the Falun Dafa practitioners’ peaceful truth clarification efforts to resist the CCP’s inhuman treatment. They especially highlighted the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance that practitioners in China, despite being physically and psychologically tortured, live by.

According to the statement, practitioners outside of China have continued to lay bare the CCP’s lies and atrocities while calling for justice over the past 26 years. The international community has learned about the persecution and supported Falun Dafa, (also known as Falun Gong). As just one example, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the Falun Gong Protection Act on June 25, 2024. It condemned the CCP’s atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and encouraged the United States “to highlight China’s persecution of Falun Gong” and mete out sanctions and visa restrictions.
