(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhu Qiulan Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
2. [Taonan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Qiufang, Her Sister, and Their Mother Arrested
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Nie Xuelan Detained

1. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhu Qiulan Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Zhu Qiulan, in her 60s, from Pingqiao District, was arrested by officers from the Pingqiao District Domestic Security Division around April 2024 for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was sentenced to three years and was taken to Xinxiang Women’s Prison.

2. [Taonan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Qiufang, Her Sister, and Their Mother Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qiufang, her sister Ms. Zhang Qiubo, and their mother were arrested by officers from Taonan City Police Department on April 17, 2025. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated a printer and other personal belongings.

At present, the two sisters’ whereabouts are unknown. Their mother has been released.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Nie Xuelan Detained

Ms. Nie Xuelan, 59, from Dongxihu District, was arrested at home on April 18, 2025. She was given ten days at the Wuhan City First Lockup.
