(Minghui.org) During Shen Yun’s global tour in the last week of March 2025, a number of officials from different countries attended the performances. In addition to expressing their appreciation for the message and values presented, they also reflected upon the impact and significance of Shen Yun’s work.

“Now We Can See a Different China”

Michael Novakhov (NTD Television)

Michael Novakhov, a New York State Assembly member, saw Shen Yun in New York on March 29.

“...everything we see [about Chinese culture] from the Chinese government—from the communist party—is what they want us to see, is what they want to show the world. And now, we have something different, now we can see a different China,” he said.

“The Energy of the Show Was Spectacular”

John Mirrione (NTD Television)

John Mirrione, a candidate for New Jersey governor, saw Shen Yun in New York on March 29.

“The energy of the show was spectacular, it was really magnificent. Not just the essence of the old, but the way they blended into the new with all the technology. It was just unbelievable, it was magical,” Mr. Mirrione said.

“It’s all about inner development, inner divine, and connecting to everything, all that is. And I do believe we live over and over again. I thought it was a beautiful message,” Mr. Mirrione said.

“Important Overall”

Anton Friesen (The Epoch Times)

Anton Friesen, a former member of the German Parliament, saw Shen Yun in Berlin on March 27.

“I think it’s important overall, because traditions are increasingly being lost, even in Europe, even in the West. And I think it’s important for all countries, especially those where communist regimes are unfortunately in power,” he said.

“It Really Is a Spectacle to See”

Stephen Dasko, a Mississauga City Councilor, congratulated Shen Yun on another successful run in Mississauga on March 25, after seeing a performance himself at the Living Arts Centre.

“It’s a magical performance,” Mr. Dasko said, after Shen Yun had given its last performance in the city for the season.

“You must come out and see it. It really is a spectacle to see,” he said.

“Eight hundred shows a year is truly amazing, right across the globe. It also shows that art [transcends] all boundaries, and really a lot can be learned just through art.

“This is a tale that you can learn across the globe. And so art is always something that brings out, I think, the best in everybody,” Mr. Dasko said.

“Very creative and very well done,” he said. “Having the story told through dance and through color, through music, especially with the backdrop, the animation, was quite something to see.

“I am truly in awe of what the artistic director comes up with. And this is this year’s, let alone what the years before have brought. So keep up the incredible work and keep delivering just these magical performances,” Mr. Dasko concluded.

Letter from Member of Canadian Parliament

Letter from Garnett Genuis, Member of the Canadian Parliament (The Epoch Times)

Prior to Shen Yun’s performances in Toronto between March 29–April 6, the local presenter received a welcome letter from Garnett Genuis MP.

MP Genuis wrote, “It is a privilege to once again welcome Shen Yun Performing Arts and its talented members back to Canada for the 2025 World Tour.

“Canada’s vibrant and diverse cultural landscape is one of our greatest strengths. Our fundamental freedoms–including freedom of expression and religion–have enabled the preservation of many traditions that have faced persecution under oppressive regimes. Generations of immigrants have enriched our country with their heritage, talents, and traditions. Shen Yun offers a rare opportunity to witness the beauty of Chinese culture as it existed before the rise of communism.”

“It’s the Right Path”

Emmanuel Reda (NTD Television)

Emmanuel Reda, a municipal councilor for the town of Peymeinade, France, and his wife saw Shen Yun in Montpellier on March 28. They had been hoping to see Shen Yun for several years, and this time, they booked their tickets in September.

“It was an enchanting moment, a pure moment of pleasure,” exclaimed Mr. Reda. “I’m quite picky about shows, but this one, I really enjoyed myself!”

“You can see that there are years and years of work behind it. It’s truly exceptional, a beautiful show!” he said.

Mr. Reda said he felt “relaxed,” adding, “It’s hard to let go in life, but this one really felt relaxed. We really enjoyed it!”

“You can feel the good vibes behind it, there’s work, there’s a story... I don’t know how to express it, but there’s heart,” he said.

For Mr. Reda, kindness is at the heart of the show: “The dancers, the music, everything brings inner peace. That’s what I feel!”

“If everyone saw this show, if everyone understood that culture, dance, music, it soothes people... Perhaps there would be fewer wars. That’s just a wish I’m making. In these difficult times, I think this kind of show can bring a lot of positive things to people.

“We must continue in this direction; it’s the right path,” concluded Mr. Reda.

“Keep Praying for the People There”

Mark Moody (NTD Television)

Mark Moody, a councilman for Ward III of Cheyenne, Wyoming, U.S.A., saw Shen Yun in Cheyenne on March 25. This was his third time seeing Shen Yun.

“What I like most about it is the fact that it shows the ancient Chinese culture, and then also to show the horrors of the Chinese communist party. And we as Americans know what’s going on, so that way we can appreciate our freedoms,” Mr. Moody said.

“And also to keep praying for the people there, currently in China,” he said, adding that he’s glad Shen Yun “is here throughout the country.”

“Many Positive and Important Messages”

Yi-peng Liang (NTD Television)

Yi-peng Liang, director general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Toronto, saw Shen Yun in Toronto on April 1.

“I think tonight’s performance brought many positive and important messages. I think it will make the audience understand that no matter in Canada, Taiwan, or around the world, people should cherish and continue to uphold a free way of living. We believe that force, coercion, fraud, and evil will not win the respect of other people or countries. Only mutual respect, tolerance, appreciation, and respect for the dignity of every person as a human being are the cultural values we pursue and the true meaning of civilization,” Mr. Liang said.

“Traditional Chinese culture is the common asset of all mankind in the world, so its destruction and damage are a common loss for mankind. So I think from now on, no matter where in the world, everyone should cherish it and work hard to restore the traditional virtues that China has had. This evil ideology [communism] can only exist for a short time and will not last forever. We all need to have this confidence.

“I think the audience are not only able to experience China before communism, but more so look forward to China after communism. I think this is our common wish, and we all believe that this will not take too long. So let’s work hard,” he said.

“A Positive Impact to Our Lives”

Lewis Imbroto (NTD Television)

Lewis Imbroto, a lawyer and council member from Long Island, saw Shen Yun with Christi Kunzig, also a lawyer, in New York on March 29.

“I thought the show was beautiful. The dancing, the costumes were amazing, and I really enjoyed the message. I thought that it was very spiritual, and affirming of life, and belief in God. I really enjoyed that,” said Mr. Imbroto.

“I thought it was beautiful, the dancing was amazing, the costumes were spectacular, and the music was fantastic,” Ms. Kunzig agreed. “It was very vibrant, the dancing was very interesting, and it was fun.”

“The beauty of divine beings performing, that’s exactly what we saw on stage,” said Mr. Imbroto. “The beautiful dancing really gave a sense of the Divine coming through. And it was really wonderful.”

“My takeaway from the show is truthfulness, compassion, tolerance, and hopefully an end to the persecution of minority viewpoints in China and all around the world. It certainly gave us a positive impact to our lives, and hopefully it had the same effect on others,” he said.
