(Minghui.org) Practitioners in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region of Germany recently held two events to introduce Falun Dafa and expose how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted the spiritual discipline for more than two decades. The first event was held in Mannheim on March 22, and the second was held in Heidelberg on April 5.

As a public research university, the University of Mannheim offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in economics, law, social sciences, humanities, and other studies. Its business school is considered the best in Germany. Heidelberg University is the oldest university in Germany and also one of the most prestigious universities in the country. As a hub for the arts, Heidelberg was designated a “City of Literature” by UNESCO.

Many people stopped at the booth during the two events for more information. Lea from Frankfurt was visiting friends in Heidelberg and said that she heard about Falun Dafa at a tourist site in Heidelberg two years before. “It’s hard to believe the CCP suppresses innocent people so badly for meditating,” she said. “The brutality, including forced organ harvesting, is terrible and it must stop.”
“The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are important and beautiful,” she added. She believes kindness includes respect for others and forbearance includes forgiveness. Everyone makes mistakes, and it’s important to improve oneself instead of just criticizing others.

Max Müller 19, from Stuttgart, came to Heidelberg for professional training with two classmates, Florian and Albert.
“I think you’ve done very well and that’s why I signed the petition [calling to end the persecution],” explained Müller, “When I heard that the brutality comes from the communist China government, I know it should not have occurred in the first place.”
Art teacher Julia said she read about Falun Dafa in a magazine and was surprised to learn what was going on in China. “I’m so happy to meet you practitioners here today,” she said. “My husband worked for a Chinese company in Germany. After hearing about the suppression, he switched to a different job.”
Before she left, Julia thanked the practitioners for their efforts and said she hopes the persecution will end soon.

The main square in Heidelberg, Bismarckplatz is one of the central public transportation hubs. After two Chinese students passed the table to catch the train, they returned and asked for some information to read. A practitioner showed them the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and explained how the CCP harms people with violence and lies. Both students agreed to quit the CCP’s Young Pioneer organization that they joined when they were children.
A young Chinese woman is studying in Germany for a post-doctorate degree. She said that she’s a CCP member and hadn’t heard about withdrawing from the organization. A practitioner explained that when one joins the CCP organizations, one has to swear to devote one’s life to the regime. Because of all the bad deeds committed by the Party for decades, many people decided to quit the Party organizations for a better future. The girl agreed to withdraw from the CCP and thanked the practitioner for telling her about this.
A young mother said that because she lived in the countryside in China, she did not join the CCP's Young Pioneers. She accepted a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and said, “This talks about important history in China and my child needs to know this.”
