Additional Persecution News from China – April 29, 2025 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Guaiyan Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

5. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Hua Released After Serving Four Years in Prison
6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Shuling and Ms. Li Shuling Arrested
7. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Zhiying and Ms. Fan Yuemin Arrested
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jing Shuqin Harassed
9. [Shanghai] Ms. Pei Shanzhen Arrested

1. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Guaiyan Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Wang Guaiyan was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 16,000 yuan by the Jintai District Court in late April 2025. She has appealed the verdict.

2. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Kuang Liying Missing

Ms. Kuang Liying from Liaobu Town works at Dongguan Power Supply Company. Her family has lost contact with her for an unknown amount of time. We are urging anyone with information about her to come forward.

3. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lin Zhenying Arrested

Guo Tingwei from the Gaotang County Domestic Security Division and officers from the Yuqiuhu Police Station broke into the home of 63-year-old Ms. Lin Zhengying on the morning of April 23, 2025 and arrested her.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Suyun and Ms. Song Xiufeng Arrested

Ms. Wu Suyun, 75, and Ms. Song Xiufeng, 70, both from Zhifu District, were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at Gaotuan Town farmers market in Fushan District on April 22, 2025. They were forcibly arrested by three officers from the Dongting Police Station. The officers confiscated 150 paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them.

After the two practitioners were interrogated at the police station, their homes were ransacked. The officers confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and other items. The two practitioners were transferred to the Shihuiyao Police Station and the Lijiaoqiao Police Station, where they completed paperwork and were released on bail that night.

5. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Hua Released After Serving Four Years in Prison

Ms. Gao Hua from Suizhong County was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 30,000 yuan by the Lianshan District Court on November 25, 2021. She has since been released.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Shuling and Ms. Li Shuling Arrested

Ms. Liu Shuling and Ms. Li Shuling from Laixi City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Qingdao City, were arrested on the morning of April 10, 2025. They were held at the Laixi City Detention Center for 15 days and then released.

7. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Zhiying and Ms. Fan Yuemin Arrested

Ms. Chen Zhiying and Ms. Fan Yuemin from Hengshui City, Hebei Province, were arrested on April 25, 2025, by police officers from Jinan City, Shandong Province, who crossed the provincial borders and collaborated with officers from the local police department and Kangfu Street Police Station in Hengshui City. The two practitioners are being held in the Jinan City Third Lockup.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jing Shuqin Harassed

Four plainclothes officers from the Hushitai Police Station in Shenbei New District went to Ms. Jing Shuqin’s home on the morning of April 28, 2025, and harassed her. They threatened that if she continued to practice Falun Gong, she would have to go to the police station to have her fingerprints taken, and that her son and grandson’s employment would be adversely impacted in the future. The officers kept a video recorder running while talking to her.

9. [Shanghai] Ms. Pei Shanzhen Arrested

Ms. Pei Shanzhen’s residence was monitored by police officers around April 20, 2025. When Ms. Pei went out to buy breakfast on the morning of April 25, she was dragged into a car by people who had followed her. They took her to the local police station for questioning. She refused to sign the interrogation record or have her photos taken. She was released in the early evening.
