Ohio, USA: State Senate Proclaims World Falun Dafa Day

(Minghui.org) Today is the 26th World Falun Dafa Day. Robert McColley, President of the Ohio Senate, and Senator Jerry C. Cirino commended the Ohio Falun Dafa Association on behalf of the state senate to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.

Ohio State Senate marks World Falun Dafa Day

The remarks read, “On behalf of the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, we are pleased to commend the Ohio Falun Dafa Association on its observance of World Falun Dafa Day, May 13, 2025.

“This is, indeed, an important occasion, and it provides an ideal time to acknowledge the unique, global impact of Falun Dafa. A peaceful, spiritual discipline rooted in Buddhist traditions, Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, was introduced to the public by Li Hongzhi in China in 1992, and in the decades since, this practice has spread to more than one hundred counties around the world, including the United States. Indeed, Falun Dafa has gained a loyal following among Ohioans, who have worked to teach and show its principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance, and its lasting impact readily explains why it is so widely held in high esteem.

“It is through the work of individuals such as all those associated with the Ohio Falun Dafa Association that our state and nation has gained a reputation as a welcoming and open place where people can enjoy the freedom to believe and practice without fear of persecution. As they observe World Falun Dafa Day 2025, the members of the association have the opportunity to build on the successes of the past and open new dialogues between themselves and the public, thereby laying the foundations for a better future.
