Additional Persecution News from China – May 3, 2025 (6 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 72 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ren Chunlian Detained
2. [Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Huimin and Ms. Yuan Jianxin Detained
3. [Tianjin] Ms. Cao Xinrong Detained
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Xinfan and Ms. Liu Xinxia Detained
5. [Pingyao County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Runmiao Detained
6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Peng Xiuxin Detained

1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ren Chunlian Detained

Ms. Ren Chunlian from Xiaowangjia Village of Jitai Town, was arrested by officers from the Jitai Town Police Station on the afternoon of April 22, 2025. She has been detained in the Weifang City Detention Center since. Her two daughters tried to visit her but were rejected by the detention center.

2. [Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Huimin and Ms. Yuan Jianxin Detained

Ms. Zhang Huimin and Ms. Yuan Jianxin, both around 60 and from Duolun County, were arrested by officers from the Qiaodong Police Station when talking to people about Falun Gong around April 10, 2025. Their homes were ransacked later that day. While they were released that evening, they were arrested again by officers from the Duolun County Police Department a few days later and detained for 15 days.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Cao Xinrong Detained

Ms. Cao Xinrong was recorded by surveillance cameras while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. More than ten officers from the Tucheng Police Station arrested her at home on the morning of April 16, 2025.

Ms. Cao passed out due to high blood pressure and was taken to a hospital for treatment. After she came to, the police took her back home for an interrogation. They held her in custody overnight, then took her to the Caozhuang Detention Center the next day, on April 17, 2025.

4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Xinfan and Ms. Liu Xinxia Detained

Mr. Liu Xinfan and Ms. Liu Xinxia, from Binhai New District, were arrested by officers from the Tashan Police Station when talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of April 30, 2025. They were taken to the Huludao City Lockup for ten days.

5. [Pingyao County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Runmiao Detained

Ms. Liu Runmiao was arrested on an unknown date, and is currently being detained in the Taiyuan City Fourth Detention Center.

6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Peng Xiuxin Detained

Ms. Peng Xiuxin, of Tieling City, Liaoning Province, was arrested by officers from the Wanghai Police Station in Yantai City, Shandong Province on March 21, 2025. She was detained for over 30 days and has since been released.
