(Minghui.org) On May 9 and 10, 2025, Falun Dafa practitioners held a parade on Unter den Linden in front of the Brandenburg Gate, and in the bustling neighborhoods of Kurfürstendamm and Schloßstrasse, Berlin’s major shopping streets. They celebrated World Falun Dafa Day and shared the beauty of Falun Dafa and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance with the public.

“These People Practice Good Values”

Jens Lohmann said about the parade, “Very friendly, very welcoming, definitely positive.” He talked with practitioners to find out more. He had previously heard in media reports that practitioners were persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but during the conversation he learned that Falun Dafa teaches people to live according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. After it was introduced in 1992, it is now practiced in more than one hundred countries, which amazed him.

He planned to share the photos he recorded with his friends with the caption: “These people are committed to practicing good values and spreading them. They play delightful music, and walk happily through the streets.” He praised the event and said, “Very good. The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are universal values.”

Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Can Bring Peace to the World

“The parade was amazing, everything was good, it was very appealing to me, I was deeply moved,” said Sylke Geniczek. She was sitting outside a cafe when she heard the music and recorded the parade on her phone. “I’m definitely going to share this with others. We need to let people know what’s going on and get more people thinking,” she said.

She agrees with Falun Dafa’s principles and said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is what each of us should have, but some people may find it difficult. For example, we often get angry over small things, but then we should think of others.”

She didn’t understand why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners and said, “It’s good to let more people know so they will pay attention to this, because most don’t know anything about it. This situation requires greater attention and should be understood by everyone.”

She also wanted to tell Falun Dafa practitioners: “I know that all this is not easy. I support you, and I know you will succeed. I wish you every success from the bottom of my heart.”

“I’m fifty-eight years old this year, and I hope to see world peace in my lifetime with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” she smiled and said, “This will be achieved, and we will succeed.”

It’s Important to Learn about Falun Dafa

Many passers-by gladly accepted information about Falun Dafa. Some praised the little lotus keepsakes which had the words “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

Irmhild Uhlmann, who worked at a bank before retiring, stood on Schlossstrasse, Berlin’s second-largest shopping street, and filmed the entire procession. “I’m going to send this video to all my family members and they’ll say, ‘It’s a shame we didn’t see it,’” she laughed.

“I think the parade is very good, it’s so beautiful.” After watching the whole procession, Ullman said what impressed her the most was “those people in the procession.” She truly feels that China is a country of smiles: “I think it’s very beautiful that they all had smiles on their faces. They spread the good things they felt, and it made me feel good.”

This is the first time she heard about Falun Dafa, and she said, “I’m very happy to see this march and to receive this leaflet. After reading it, I learned more, and this is really a very important thing. The parade is very beautiful, and it also helps people know more. I’m sure a lot of people don’t know anything about Falun Dafa, so this is very important.”

She is very supportive of practitioners’ activities, and said, “This kind of activity also makes those who are not interested in it curious and ask what is this? What happened? What should we do? So I think that’s a very good idea.”

She feels most people only think about themselves but don’t care about others, and one day those bad things may spread to them, so they should really pay attention to the persecution in China.

Deeply Inspired by Falun Dafa

Many passers-by signed the petition to end the persecution of Falun Dafa.

Nurse Sirgrid Lord and stone carver Bernhard Johannes Spiller saw the parade at the other end of Schloss Street. “The march is very good, it’s so peaceful, it gets people’s attention, because not a lot of people know about it,” they said.

They also very much agree with Falun Dafa’s principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Spiller said, “By telling the truth, we can keep peace; we should be kind to each other. If people make mistakes, they should not take revenge, otherwise they will fall into the whirlpool of darkness. None of us are perfect,” he said.

Spiller went on to say, “The more we talk about this [Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance], the more we can be inspired by it and the more we can suppress doing bad things.”

In their view, if enough people know about Falun Dafa and the persecution, the sooner the persecution will end. They also wished practitioners success.

After the event, more than one police officer told practitioners that they would voluntarily sign up to escort them and lead the parade, because the event was very peaceful and made people feel good. They were very happy to be part of it and support practitioners.
