Additional Persecution News from China – May 11, 2025 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chongqing] Home of Ms. Xu Xiaoqin and Mr. Yao Rongxuan Ransacked
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] 88-Year-Old Ms. Liang Shuzhi Faces Imprisonment
3. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Zhaolan’s Home Ransacked
4. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Home of Late Mr. Liu Yu Ransacked
5. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Na’s 8-Year Prison Term Extended for 1.5 Years
6. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang] Four Practitioners Followed and Placed Under Surveillance
7. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Homes of Ms. Zhou Fenglan and Ms. Liu Xia Ransacked

1. [Chongqing] Home of Ms. Xu Xiaoqin and Mr. Yao Rongxuan Ransacked

Ms. Xu Xiaoqin and her husband, Mr. Yao Rongxuan, were harassed at home on the evening of April 24, 2025, by Li Bing of the Xuanhua Police Station in Yongchuan District and other officers. The couple refused to open the door, and the people pounded on it, and called their superior for instructions. They called a locksmith to break open the door. They confiscated four Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and a booklet of cultivation experience sharing articles.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] 88-Year-Old Ms. Liang Shuzhi Faces Imprisonment

Ms. Liang Shuzhi, 88, from Heping District, received a call from prosecutor Zhang at Liaozhong District Procuratorate in mid-May 2025, notifying her that she would be taken into custody to serve the three-year term she was given in 2023, if she passed the required physical examination.

Ms. Liang was arrested by officers from Heping District Domestic Security Division and the Maluwan Police Station on June 8, 2021. She was indicted by the Liaozhong District Procuratorate and sentenced to three years with a 20,000-yuan fine by the Liaozhong District Court in March 2023. She was denied admission to the detention center back then due to her poor health.

3. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Zhaolan’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Xu Zhaolan’s home in Huailai County was raided by officers from the Beixinbao Police Station on the afternoon of April 17, 2025, after she “liked” a short video about Falun Gong on Douyin, the overseas version of TikTok.

4. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Home of the Late Mr. Liu Yu Ransacked

Nie Senbo, director of Baiyun Community Management Office in Qingyuan County, and officers from Qingyuan County Domestic Security Division pried open the small warehouse in the home of late Mr. Liu Yu on the afternoon of May 7, 2025. They confiscated all Falun Gong books and related materials. Mr. Liu’s son, Mr. Liu Haitao, was ordered to go to the Hebei Police Station to answer a few questions.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Na’s 8-Year Prison Term Extended for 1.5 Years

Ms. Xu Na was sentenced to eight years in 2022 for sending photos taken in Beijing during the COVID-19 pandemic to The Epoch Times. It’s recently confirmed by Minghui.org that her term had been extended by an additional year and a half. She is now serving time at Beijing Women’s Prison.

6. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Followed and Placed Under Surveillance

Ms. Xu Lihua from Beilin District was caught on security camera for posting Falun Gong informational stickers at the end of November 2024. She has been followed and placed under surveillance by the Beilin District 610 Office since.

Ms. Sun Yumei, Ms. Yang Xiuyun, and Ms. Zhao Xiaoyu were also followed and monitored at the end of March 2025.

7. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Homes of Ms. Zhou Fenglan and Ms. Liu Xia Ransacked

Homes of Ms. Zhou Fenglan and Ms. Liu Xia were ransacked on the morning of May 10, 2025. Ms. Zhou’s Zhuan Falun and three Walkmans, as well as Ms. Liu’s Falun Gong books, a computer, and a cell phone, were confiscated.

During the home raid, the police asked if the two practitioners knew another practitioner, Ms. Lu Fengxian. The officers claimed that they had been following Ms. Lu for a long time, and they raided Ms. Zhou and Ms. Liu’s homes after finding that Ms. Lu had visited them. Ms. Lu has gone missing since April 28, 2025, and her family suspects she might have been arrested.
