(Minghui.org) The New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts’ 2025 season took final curtain calls on May 11 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Nashville, Tennessee; Providence, Rhode Island; and Paris, France.
This year, Shen Yun’s eight touring companies performed for an estimated total of over one million theatergoers attending more than 800 performances. Shen Yun visited more than 190 major cities across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Principal dancer David Xiao said, “I feel like the feedback is deeper and more spiritual. Many audience members leave the theater with tears in their eyes.”
Flutist Huang Zirong said, “The deepest impression for me was last year, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, there was a huge flood, so most of our shows were canceled at the last minute. But luckily, this year, we went back. And just to see the audience’s feedback, the whole vibe was very emotional.”
Principal dancer Bella Fan said, “To maintain a good state, for me: perseverance... I remind myself to not forget the original intention of doing this. It is also a driving force for my continuous improvement.”
This season, Shen Yun presented 88 performances in 12 cities in France, reaching nearly 210,000 audience members. All their performances were presented to full houses.
Tickets for Shen Yun’s 2026 season in 15 French cities are already for sale. 15,000 tickets have already been sold as more cities and shows are expected to be added.

Bruno Chambrillon (NTD Television)
Bruno Chambrillon, director of Hermès Communication, saw Shen Yun in Paris on May 7.
“I really enjoyed the show! It’s fascinating and politically interesting,” Mr. Chambrillon said. “It’s absolute precision, beautiful dances, and everything you can think of about China. And the quality of gymnastics and dance!
“The combination of the show on stage and the images behind it, the connection that there was all the time, was of the highest quality and allowed us to project ourselves effectively into the heavens and into the divine.
“In France, we’re very sensitive to the link with religion, because our country has a religious tradition,” he said.
For Mr. Chambrillon, Shen Yun “can open up the minds of many people and allow another approach to China in particular, and to the Chinese art world, which we don’t always see in this way.”
Mr. Qin, a student from China who resides in France, saw Shen Yun in Paris on May 11.
“I have come to see it every year, except for during the pandemic,” he said. “After that first time seeing it, I felt deeply inspired—it was a spiritual, soulful inspiration.
“Shen Yun isn’t only for Chinese people—it’s something universal, something that everyone can appreciate.” He has attended shows with French friends and often shares this beauty with others.
“What we see in every dancer is not just a performance, it’s authenticity. They show their inner selves to the audience, and that kind of emotional impact is spontaneous and heartfelt.
“I believe Shen Yun is spreading light,” Mr. Qin said. “We are living in rather dark times. There is a gloom surrounding everyone, but Shen Yun helps to dispel that darkness, bringing light both to the heart and to the world around us.
“If each of us can carry this flame of light and pass it on to others, the world will become a truly beautiful place,” he said.

Delaware State Rep. Lyndon D. Yearick saw Shen Yun in Philadelphia on May 10 and presented the company with a proclamation.
“It’s very refreshing. It’s just a very amazing, powerful performance—the performers, their dedication and their artistry, as well as the dance and the singers,” he said. He added that he opposed the Chinese communist regime’s ongoing religious persecution of Falun Gong and that Shen Yun shines an important light on this issue.
“I’m motivated, energized, appreciative of what we have, [including] all of our great privileges and freedoms that we have here in the United States that, unfortunately, are still lacking in mainland China and that many, many others do not have.
“We should never take these things for granted,” Mr. Yearick said. “The show is a reflection of peace and harmony, and what can be accomplished as we are great human beings together.”

Aseneth Torres Tapia, music director of a Mexican record company, saw Shen Yun in Guadalajara on May 8.
“I want to offer my sincerest congratulations to the Artistic Director! Thank you for bringing this grand idea to life, for concretely presenting it on stage, and for communicating it to the world. It’s really beautiful, and it’s a great achievement, because he left a seed of hope for everyone who is lucky enough to see Shen Yun,” she said.
“I think the biggest gain is that the performance has shown me that there is still hope in the world. We can still rebuild our connection with God. The performance conveys the message to everyone through stage art and inspires the divinity within us. This is what touches me the most,” she said.

Michael Cogdill and Danette Cogdill (NTD Television)
Michael Cogdill, an award-winning journalist and news anchor, and Danette Cogdill, a company founder, saw Shen Yun in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on May 7.
“You can’t watch this and not be happy. There is such happiness. Even though there is repression from communist China, there is an evolution through it. Humanity evolves beyond such dreadfulness. It’s just happiness throughout. The art of happy,” Mr. Cogdill said.
