Canada: World Falun Dafa Day Celebrations Held in Winnipeg

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities in front of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day on May 10, 2025. They collected signatures and gave waist drum performances.

It was a clear, but windy day. Practitioners held banners and so passerby could see the words Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They also gave waist drum performances. Attracted by the music, many people talked with them to learn why the event was held.

Tait Palsson, an independent candidate for Winnipeg South Centre, attended the event. He said he was very happy to be able to attend the Falun Gong practitioners' celebration and enjoyed the waist drum performance very much. He stayed until the end of the event. He thanked practitioners for telling him details about the persecution in China.

A student from the University of Manitoba said he watched a documentary about David Matas at the university, and wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa. He brought his family to talk with a practitioner, and they had a long conversation. Afterwards they said they felt the peace of Dafa and that practitioners were friendly.

The event lasted two hours. Passersby encouraged practitioners and wished them luck.
