[Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day] The Miners Recite “Falun Dafa Is Good”

(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997 and have had many amazing experiences. Some of them occurred after I began working for a mining company 16 years ago.

I was assigned to Group 7 in the production area and I worked underground every day. During the meeting with 10 other new employees, the group leader said, “I heard one of you practices Falun Dafa.” I stood up and said, “I do.” He nodded and did not say anything.

Several practitioners work for this mining company, so the workers and managers know practitioners work hard and are responsible. But the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) made the officials afraid. Despite the persecution the leaders continue hiring practitioners because they are excellent workers.

There was an underground accident—one worker was killed and 7 were injured. The company decided to combine Group 5 and Group 7. With over 100 people, the combined group was difficult to manage because there are all kinds of underground activities.

Support and Blessings

As a transporter, I need to be familiar with different kinds of equipment. I learned to handle everything including rock loading, operating the electric locomotive, the shuttle cart, and the electric rake. I also learned drilling and other skills. I took a substitute shift with an excavation worker and deputy group leader Gang inspected the site. I usually did not have a chance to talk to him. So I took this opportunity to tell him about Falun Dafa and how badly the CCP suppressed the practice. He accepted what I said and agreed to quit the CCP organizations.

When it was almost Chinese New Year, another practitioner and I brought Minghui calendars to work and gave them to the other workers. The group leader did not stop us and asked us to save one copy for him. He put it on his desk and everyone who passed by could see it. The other practitioners and I distributed Minghui calendars at work for years. The officials and workers are happy to accept them because they all know practitioners are good people.

After he quit the CCP Gang was blessed. A few months later he was transferred to another group and became a group leader. Mining underground is very hard and dangerous, and work-related injuries occur every year. During the six years that Gang was in charge of the team, there was not a single work-related accident. The company promoted him to the position of mine safety manager. I knew he was rewarded because he understood Falun Dafa is good and treats practitioners well.

A New Group Leader

After the leadership team was reshuffled, a new group leader Liang was transferred to Group 7 where I worked. I did not rush to tell him the facts about Dafa. I wanted to do a good job and so he could see practitioners are responsible workers. I gradually learned various skills and many consider me a jack of all trades. I quickly and smoothly completed whatever I was assigned to do. Liang was satisfied with my work ethic and performance.

The underground rock loaders make the least money, so no one wants to do it. There are three rock loaders in the group, but the other two refused to do certain tasks. I thought that since I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner, I should do my best. I completed the tasks and solved Liang’s problems. When he inspected the work I took the opportunity to tell him about Falun Dafa, and said, “Corruption is utterly rampant nowadays. If one wants to be a group leader, they have to use their connections and pay tens of thousands of yuan.” I then told him about Falun Dafa and how the CCP made up lies to defame the practice. He agreed to quit the CCP organizations he joined. At the end of the year, the leadership team was adjusted, and Liang was promoted and later became the production manager at the mine entrance.

I was temporarily moved to another group. There was a prospecting project, but there were no rock loaders in the group. The project was far away, and I had to walk 50 minutes from the wellhead to the work site. It was very hot in that area and the ventilation was poor. No one wanted to do this job. My group leader assigned someone else, but that group leader said he didn’t want anyone. The mine head told me to go there and said he would have me come back in three months. I didn’t refuse. Three months later, the district head was replaced. The new head had a very good impression of me and said I could do anything. He didn’t bring me back and instead sent me to a mining site with an electric rake. The monthly salary was considerable. I realized that as long as I had the correct attitude, I could validate Dafa and have a stable income.

A Model Excavation Team

Yong, a former coworker who used to work in Group 7 came to me one day and suggested we work together. Yong was once hit by falling ore and couldn’t move. We carried him out of the mine, placed him on a truck and took him to the main tunnel. I asked him to recite, “Falun Dafa is good” as well as “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He believed me when I said it would help and he kept reciting the phrases. I carried him out of the well. By the time we arrived at the hospital he was able to walk by himself. The doctor examined him and said Yong wasn’t injured. It was amazing. People who are hit by falling rocks are seriously injured or killed. Afterwards, Yong told me that he often recited those two phrases.

After years of efforts by practitioners many underground workers from various groups now believe in Dafa. They often recite the phrases and carry Falun Dafa keepsakes which have these phrases, because they know that they have divine protection.

With the consent of the group leader I cooperated with Yong and we are responsible for an excavation site. We did a good job. The group leader reported to the mine leadership. The mine leaders decided to hold a field meeting at the site where we worked, so that other group leaders could learn from us. Our mining site was set as a benchmark, and they said they would learn from us when they built mining sites in the future. The group leader was very happy, and praised us at large and small meetings. We were also each given 1,000 yuan. He was even more impressed with me as a Falun Dafa practitioner. I also took this opportunity to tell everyone about Falun Dafa and the importance of withdrawing from the CCP.

All the workers and leaders knew I was good at my job, and many of them wanted to work with me. Some said that they were happy to work with me as things went smoothly; others felt they would be protected if they worked with me. Some said I was the best person there. I knew I did my job well because I lived according to the standards of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The leaders and workers all knew that I practiced Falun Dafa.
