(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 32 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xuehua Formally Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xuehua of the Haidian District was arrested and admitted to a detention center on April 10, 2025. Her arrested was approved in May 2025.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Song Huichan Detained

Ms. Song Huichan, 66, lives in Tanggu in the Binhai District. She was arrested by three officers from Xincun Police Station on the morning of April 11, 2025. They raided both her and her 95-year-old mother’s homes.

Ms. Song was put under criminal detention the next day. Her arrest was approved by the Binhai District Procuratorate on April 25. She is being held in the Binhai District Detention Center.

3. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Shouyu Formally Arrested

Ms. Liu Shouyu was arrested on April 2, 2025. Her arrest has been approved by the local procuratorate.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Meng Xianqi Arrested

Mr. Meng Xianqi was arrested on the afternoon of May 12, 2025, when he went to the Shahekou Police Department to seek justice for his sister, Ms. Meng Xianfang, who was arrested on March 2, 2025, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Due to the torture and forced labor in the Yaojia Detention Center, she is suffering high blood pressure and has gone into shock three times.

5. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhoushan Admitted to Prison

Mr. Wang Zhoushan was sentenced to 18 months in prison by the Linghai City Court on May 7, 2025. He has been admitted to a prison.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Zhang Shengjin Detained

Zhang Shengjin, gender unknown, of Yangshulin Township, Nong’an County, was arrested by Yangshulin Township Police Station officers between 5 and 6 a.m. on April 23, 2025. The officers seized Zhang’s printers, computers, and other items. Zhang is being held in the Nong’an Detention Center. Family visits are prohibited.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Gui Arrested

Ms. Gui, first name unknown, in her 70s, lives in the Wutaizha area in the Wuchange District. She was arrested on April 22, 2025. Her home was ransacked. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Guiling Held in Detention Center

Mr. Wang Guilin was sentenced to five years in prison. Because of his high blood sugar level, he is still being held in the Jinzhou Detention Center.

9. [Weinan City, Shaanxi Province] At Least 16 Practitioners Held in Weinan City Second Prison

At least 16 practitioners are currently being held in the Weinan City Second Prison. They are: Mr. Zang Jinda, Mr. Ma Haipeng, Mr. Wang Yuchao, Mr. Li Xueyi, Mr. Zhang Dongsheng, Mr. Wei Shuichun, Mr. Miao Zhongjun, Mr. Chen Jun, Mr. Liu Wei, Mr. Zhang Ming, Mr. Wang Pingchang, Mr. Meng Fanhong, Mr. Lin Xiaolong, Mr. Chen Jiyang, Mr. Zhang Junquan, and Mr. Zhang Jianzhong.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Deng Zhongrong, Ms. Yong Xiqin, and one unidentified practitioner were arrested in the Qingbaijiang District Flowers and Birds Market on the morning of April 30, 2025. They were taken to the Dawan Police Station. The police searched them and ordered them to sign statements to renounce Falun Gong. Ms. Deng did not cooperate. She was released around 10 p.m. The other two practitioners were released earlier in the afternoon.

11. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Huimin and Ms. Yuan Jianxin Detained

Ms. Zhang Huimin and Ms. Yuan Jianxin, both around 60, were arrested by Qiaodong Police Station officers in mid-April 2025. Their homes were ransacked. While the police released them in the evening, they took them back into custody a few days later for a 15-day detention. They were released on May 8.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Xiaomao Under House Arrest

Ms. Li Xiaomao, 79, was stalked by Tiejishan Police Station officers on the afternoon of April 17, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She is under house arrest.

13. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yanping Faces Indictment

Ms. Li Yanping of Leting County has been detained for three months. Her case was transferred from the Leting County Procuratorate to Luannan Procuratorate on May 9, 2025.
