My Cultivation Experience During the Chinese New Year Holiday

(Minghui.org) I’m 78 years old and started practicing Falun Dafa before the persecution started in 1999. I recorded my daily activities during this past Chinese New Year and would like share them with fellow practitioners.

A family member named Yan, who also practices Falun Dafa, came to me and said, “I have eight days off during the Chinese New Year. I’d like to do something meaningful instead of wasting time.” I understood what she meant and agreed.

She then shared her plan: “First, I want to connect the TV to the Internet so we can watch Shen Yun together. Second, we should continue doing our regular Dafa exercises and Fa study during the holidays. Third, I want to finish watching Master Li’s Guangzhou lectures. Fourth, I plan to prepare some truth-clarification materials to give to relatives and friends. And finally, I’ll print copies of Master’s new lectures and deliver them to Wen (a former practitioner). What do you think?”

I told her I could support her with most of the tasks. In addition, I had a plan of my own—to hand-copy the entire book Zhuan Falun before May 13, 2025. She seemed pleased with this arrangement.

In the blink of an eye, the eight-day holiday passed. Let me review what we accomplished:

1. I was grateful that we were able to watch Shen Yun this year. We watched it twice without interruption.

2. We maintained our regular Fa study and morning exercises without slacking off because of the holiday.

3. Yan completed watching Master’s Guangzhou lectures as she had planned.

4. We shared Master’s new lecture “How Humankind Came To Be” with our relatives and invited to them watch truth-clarification videos made by Dafa practitioners.

5. We drove two hours to visit Wen, who is my age. She lives alone, has difficulty walking, but gets around by herself. We brought Master’s new lecture to share with her and played a few truth-clarification videos. She expressed sincere appreciation for our visit and said she hoped we would visit her again.

6. I completed copying Zhuan Falun by hand.

At the end of the holiday, on February 3, we also had the opportunity to read Master’s new article, “Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State,” which was published that very day.

I will keep Master’s teachings in mind, align my actions with the principles of the Fa, and strive forward on my cultivation path.

During the New Year break, I was filled with joy and a sense of fulfillment!
