(Minghui.org) (continued from Part 2) May 13 marked the 26th World Falun Dafa Day and the 33rd anniversary since the practice was introduced to the public. The day coincides with the birthday of Mr. Li Hongzhi, Falun Dafa’s founder. United States officials from both parties at all levels have issued proclamations to honor Falun Dafa and Master Li.
In particular, a U.S. flag was raised at the U.S. Capital on May 13 to honor Mr. Li for introducing Falun Dafa to the public. Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, consists of five sets of gentle exercises and the guiding principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Introduced to the public on May 13, 1992, Falun Dafa is now practiced by more than 100 million people in over 100 countries, and has benefited people from all ethnic groups.
Two-Week Flag-Raising and Recognition from Milwaukee Government
In light of this celebratory day, a Falun Dafa Day flag was raised in front of Milwaukee City Hall for two weeks. The Mayor of Milwaukee and the Common Council also issued a certificate of recognition.

Mayor Johnson and his letter to the local Falun Dafa Association
Mayor Cavalier Johnson of Milwaukee announced that a Falun Dafa Day flag would be raised in front of Milwaukee’s City Hall for two weeks. He also issued a congratulatory letter to practitioners.
Mayor Johnson wrote in his letter, “On behalf of the City of Milwaukee, I extend warm congratulations as you commemorate Falun Dafa Day.”
He also wrote, “As practitioners in our community celebrate Falun Dafa Day, we recognize the positive contributions this practice brings to individual health and to the broader goal of creating a more peaceful society.”
Resolution from the Common Council of Milwaukee and signed by Council President Jose G. Perez
Jose G. Perez, president of the Common Council of Milwaukee, and other members of the council jointly issued a resolution to celebrate Falun Dafa Day. The resolution reads, “The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee herewith recognizes Falun Dafa Day in Milwaukee on May 13, 2025, and thanks the Wisconsin Falun Dafa Association for drawing attention to the practice of Falun Dafa.”
Counties and Cities in New York Honor World Falun Dafa Day
The chief executives of multiple counties, cities, and towns in New York State issued proclamations, citations, and letters to mark World Falun Dafa Day. Among them, Orange County, Suffolk County, Nassau County, the City of Schenectady, the City of Middletown, the Town of Babylon, and the Town of Islip in Suffolk County all issued proclamations for May 13, 2025, Falun Dafa Day.

In addition to having far reaching effects on stress relief and overall mental and physical health, Falun Dafa ultimately has the higher goal of bringing people toward wisdom and enlightenment.”
Baltimore County in Maryland Proclaims World Falun Dafa Day
The Baltimore County government declared May 13 World Falun Dafa Day in the county on its website.
The Baltimore County government of Maryland also announced on its website that May 13 this year is designated as World Falun Dafa Day to recognize the peaceful and moral teachings of Falun Gong, the spiritual discipline of mind and body. It also pointed out that Falun Gong provides free moral teachings for daily life, including meditation and gentle exercises, which have a (positive) impact on millions of people, including those of our community.
