(Minghui.org) I’m 54 years old and I live in the countryside. I’d like to tell you about some of my amazing experiences since I began practicing Falun Dafa in 2012.

A Happier Family

I used to suffer from all kinds of ailments: headaches, dry eyes, oral ulcers, bleeding and pus in my ears, pharyngitis, mastitis, chronic gastroenteritis, colitis, and sciatica. I also had congenital heart disease, depression, and insomnia.

I wasn’t even 40 when I started to have symptoms of menopause, such as anxiety, irritation, anger, night sweats, and mood swings. I was in so much discomfort that I couldn’t think clearly and I often thought of suicide.

My family suffered with me. “Can you tell me where you don’t hurt?” my husband once asked me.

My mother said, “You’re still young, but you’re in as much pain as I am.” My mother-in-law said I always complained. It was too much. What could I do?

All these problems vanished after I started practicing Falun Dafa. I was finally illness-free, and for the first time in my life I felt happy and calm. The sky looked brighter, people seemed nicer, and everything was better—something I’d never dreamed of.

My mother-in-law told her daughter, “Maybe you should practice Falun Dafa. Look at your sister-in-law (meaning me). She works all the time, never gets tired and she’s no longer sick.”

The Best Employees

After I began practicing Falun Dafa, I tried to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and was kind to everyone. Three years later, my husband, my sister, and I went to to work in a factory a relative had opened in a nearby township. My husband and I were in the same work unit, while my sister was in a different one. We rented an apartment so that we could practice Falun Dafa together.

It took some time for me to get familiar with my new surroundings. I was able to keep up with doing the exercises and studying the Fa teachings, but I did not tell people about Falun Dafa. My husband and my son lived with me, and they started practicing after seeing my positive changes. Other than working 12 hours a day, we read the teachings, did the exercises, and sent righteous thoughts. Seeing that we were good people, the other employees trusted us and believed what we said about Falun Dafa.

We followed Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and were kind to everyone. Most employees took things from the factory and they offered us some, but we always politely refused, saying the items did not belong to us.

When we took half a day off, the manager (my husband’s nephew) did not record it in the time sheet. When I reminded him he said it wasn’t a big deal. “We are practitioners and we have to be truthful,” I explained. He agreed and corrected it.

Most of the employees are from other places, and they live in the dorm or apartments. Whenever I returned from my hometown, I brought them fruit and vegetables. Everyone was happy.

I tried to help my coworkers. Especially after my husband became a manager, we often helped those who were new or elderly. For example, he assigned them the easy tasks and gave me the difficult ones that no one wanted. When there weren’t enough fans in the summer, we gave the fans to the others. No matter what happened, we were always nice to other people.

One coworker, Yan, was from Inner Mongolia. She was in poor health and her daughter often got sick. She didn’t have much money and had to borrow from others. I always lent her money. Once when Yan went to the doctor, she had no money to pay him, so she said she would pay later. The doctor was afraid she might not pay and said, “The charge will be double tomorrow.” Yan had no choice but to borrow money. She told someone that she’d borrowed too much from me in the past and was embarrassed to ask again.

I overheard this, gave her some money, and said, “Go pay the doctor. This is important.” With tears in her eyes, she said, “Why are you so nice to me?”

I said, “Because I practice Falun Dafa and I take the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to heart.” When I explained what is Dafa is and asked her to not believe the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) lies, she nodded repeatedly.

One day it was pouring rain when my husband and I left work on our motorcycle. We saw Yan on the side of the road trying to fix her bike. She did not have a raincoat, so she was drenched. We stopped and I asked what happened. She replied, “The chain came off and I need to put it back on. It’s almost fixed. Please don’t worry about me.”

When I removed my raincoat and put it on her, she said, “Please don’t. I’m already wet.” But I gave her the raincoat anyway since I didn’t want her to get sick. I knew I would be fine since I am a Dafa practitioner.

Two sisters from Shandong Province worked in the factory. Because they were older, they were slow and the factory officials were reluctant to hire them, so they were hired on probation. My husband and I tried to help them by giving them easy tasks. I also helped them and gave them food. When the older sister left a year later, she held my hand and said, “Thank you so much. Without you and your husband’s help my sister and I would not be able to work here. You are always so nice.”

I explained that I practice Falun Dafa and I reminded her to recite the phrases, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She nodded and replied, “Of course. Whenever I think of you, I’ll remember the phrases.”

There were many incidents like this. My husband and I just did things from our pure hearts and did not think much or asked to be thanked. Every time we mentioned Dafa to new employees, they told us they’d heard we were nice people. They were also glad to withdraw from the CCP organizations. One person said, “People say you and your husband are the best employees here.”

“It is because Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, teaches us to be good and better people,” I replied.

My Sister

My sister Lan and I started to practice Dafa at the same time. She had a tumor outside her uterus and the doctor recommended surgery. Lan could not afford it. Then she heard about Falun Dafa.

Shortly after she learned the exercises, the gynecological condition that had bothered her for a long time disappeared, as did her other ailments, including the uterine tumor. She was very grateful to Master Li and said, “I didn’t know an ailment could be resolved without spending money. Thank you, Master Li!”

Lan worked hard but was blunt. After she began practicing Falun Dafa, she treated others kindly and told them about the practice. She was the only local person in her work unit. Her coworkers looked down on her because they thought local people were lazy. Their assignments were tiring, so they took turns working. But no one substituted for Lan. She did not complain and continued working. One person felt it was unfair and helped Lan out.

She followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She not only worked hard, but also waited for others to get food first when it was time to eat. One coworker could not understand and told her, “If you always wait until the end, only soup will be left.”

Lan said, “Someone has to be the last one. I am a Dafa practitioner and I’ll be fine.”

She had to take half a day off because it was time to harvest the wheat. The manager did not record it and paid her as usual. Lan did not want to take advantage and offered to work one hour extra every day until she made up the time. Her coworkers were impressed and everyone praised her.

Once during a night shift, Lan’s hands suddenly swelled up and she felt weak. Her coworkers said it might be an allergic reaction and suggested she take a break and go home. She reminded herself that she’s a practitioner, so she did not take it seriously and recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Her hands were soon back to normal and her coworkers were amazed.

The manager at Lan’s work unit did not treat the employees equally. One type of work was extremely tiring and the manager always assigned it to certain employees, including Lan. She told the manager, “I practice Falun Dafa, so I won’t complain. But the other workers do not. If you always assign this task to certain workers but not others, those who have the extra burden won’t be happy. If you follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I think it would benefit you as well as the workers.”

The manager agreed and began treating everyone fairly. Because of this, her coworkers respected Lan even more. When she left a year later because her daughter was preparing for the high school entrance exam, her coworkers said, “Please come back next year.”
