Additional Persecution News from China – April 30, 2025 (5 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Liu Jinxiang’s Appeal Denied
2. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Shi Shuangxi Arrested
3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bian Junhui and Her Husband Harassed
4. [Xinhuang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Luo Jufeng and Ms. Yang Faxiu Harassed
5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fan Chunhua and Ms. Wang Yanhua Released

1. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Liu Jinxiang’s Appeal Denied

Mr. Liu Jinxiang was sentenced to three years by the Yunngang District Court following a hearing in December 2024. The Datong City Intermediate Court ruled in April 2025 to uphold his original verdict.

2. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Shi Shuangxi Arrested

Mr. Shi Shuangxi was arrested in Zhejiang Province and taken back to Datong in April 2025 by the Datong City Police Department officers.

3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bian Junhui and Her Husband Harassed

Ms. Bian Jinhui was harassed by Shijiazhuang Oil Refinery Residential Office clerks on the afternoon of April 24, 2025. On the morning of April 28, they called her husband and ordered him to report to the office. They threatened him with his job. Fear of losing his job, he signed statements renouncing Falun Gong on her behalf.

4. [Xinhuang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Luo Jufeng and Ms. Yang Faxiu Harassed

Ms. Luo Jufeng was harassed in a farmer’s market by three clerks from Qiaonan Residential District on April 23, 2025. They photographed her against her will.

Ms. Yang Faxiu received a harassment call from Qiaonan Residential District on April 24, 2025. They threatened to find her at her home. She firmly rejected them.

5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fan Chunhua and Ms. Wang Yanhua Released

Ms. Fan Chunhua was arrested on April 27, 2024, and later sentenced to six months in prison. She was released from the Gongzhuling City Detention Center on February 27, 2025, after ten months of detention.

Ms. Wang Yanhua, 71, was arrested on August 14, 2024, and later sentenced to three years. Minghui.org learned in late April 2025 that she had also been released, but it’s not clear whether she was released on medical parole or for other reasons.
