(Minghui.org) When my house was being insulated last summer, I took the opportunity to clarify the facts with several crews of workers during the project.

On the first day, a couple from Northeast China arrived to work on my house. When I began discussing Falun Dafa with them, they said they didn’t understand what I was saying. I switched to speaking Mandarin, but the woman responded firmly that she didn’t want to hear about it. I then recalled Master Li’s teaching, “Compassion is expressed in this world through love and kindness ...” (“A Wake-Up Call”)

I reminded myself to approach them with kindness and love. Seeing that they needed water, I quickly went to fetch some. But the woman declined, saying they could manage on their own. I then noticed the heat was causing them to sweat a lot, so I took cold drinks from the refrigerator and prepared slices of watermelon for them. The woman was touched and thanked me. I responded, “You’re welcome! Our Master teaches us to be kind and considerate to others.”

At noon, I prepared dumplings for them to eat. When my neighbor saw us, he remarked, “The weather is so hot, but you’re going out of your way to cook for them!”

I replied, “It’s a small effort as long as they have enough to eat.” I deliberately sat and ate with them. The woman said the dumplings were delicious, but felt I had done too much in preparing the meal. I assured her, “As long as you’re full, I don’t mind the effort.” As I continued serving them food, she was deeply touched and remarked that I was very kind and that they had met a wonderful family. I responded, “It’s Falun Dafa’s Master who teaches us to live by the principles of ‘Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.’”

She then covered her face with her hands and said, “Whenever Falun Dafa is mentioned, I feel scared. Aren’t you afraid?”

“I’m not. Why would a good person be afraid? Falun Dafa is a righteous path. Righteousness dispels all evil. What is there to fear? My Master teaches the fundamental principles of the universe. We know that good deeds are rewarded, and evil acts will be punished. The Tiananmen Square self-immolation was fabricated by the Communist Party to deceive the populace. My Master only seeks to save people. I’m sharing this with you for your benefit. If you understand the facts and quit the CCP (Chinese Communist Party), you can remain safe. Divine beings only see what’s in our hearts!”

I noticed a smile appear on her face and asked if she still felt afraid. She responded, “No! I understand now that Falun Dafa is good. You and your husband are kind-hearted.”

They both ended up asking me to help them quit the Young Pioneers. I reminded them to remember, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” They assured me they would. I felt grateful that they understood the truth.

The workers on the third day came from different regions. They worked tirelessly without taking a break. I prepared fruit and encouraged them to eat during their rest periods. At lunch, I shared the wonders of Falun Dafa with them, and they agreed: “Falun Dafa is genuinely good. It teaches people to be kind. The CCP should not suppress it or prevent people from practicing.”

I responded, “Brothers, I’m happy that you understand. Have you ever been part of the CCP, the Youth League, or Young Pioneers?” They confirmed that they had. I said, “I can help you quit them.” They readily agreed. I added, “Please remember ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ This phrase will keep you safe during times of hardship.”

On the fifth day, four local workers arrived, and I shared the facts about Dafa with them. One young man asked, “Falun Dafa!? Isn’t it banned in our country?”

I replied kindly, “Young brother, Falun Dafa is practiced in over a hundred countries worldwide, but the communist Party is the only government persecuting it. Former leader Jiang Zemin feared that there were too many good people, and his jealousy led to this suppression.

“Falun Dafa teaches people to embody ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’ to be virtuous. The Party unjustly imprisoned and persecuted good people, even sending them to forced labor camps, or worse. This is intolerable. Heaven will eventually remove this oppressive regime. But those who align with righteousness will remain safe.”

He paused and said, “I was in the Young Pioneers. Let me think about it.” I assured him that the divine sees the sincerity of people’s hearts, and it’s never too late to act once you understand the truth. As he worked, I paid special care to him. When I saw him drinking water, I gave him a piece of watermelon. He was touched and thanked me.

During their break, I handed out an assortment of fruits, reminding them, “Eat plenty, and feel free to take more when you’re done.” They were all deeply touched. The young man later said, “I was part of the Youth League.”

When I told him that I could help him quit, he agreed. Another worker said that a relative who practices Falun Dafa helped him quit already. An older worker commented, “Falun Dafa promotes kindness. Someone helped me quit the Young Pioneers at the market.” Another worker requested that I help him quit the Youth League as well.

We had a persistent leak during heavy rains, but we could not locate the source. The workers used high-quality cement, and it is what we needed. However, as Falun Dafa practitioners, we could not take materials that did not belong to us. We would also be unable to use up an entire bag, even if purchased. A few days later, I found half a bag of cement behind the door. My husband speculated that a couple of workers from the Northeast had left it there without their supervisor’s knowledge. I told him, “As practitioners, we must not accept what does not belong to us. It would be losing virtue.”

He agreed but expressed concern about how to return it discreetly, as the supervisor could reprimand them in front of the others. I asked Master in my mind that I really wanted to return the cement, but struggled to find a good way. So when the supervisor arrived to settle the bill the next day, my husband quickly pointed out the cement to one of the workers, and he discreetly put it away without the supervisor’s knowledge.

Through Master’s arrangement, the dilemma was resolved seamlessly. After settling the payment, the supervisor offered my husband 100 yuan, saying, “This is a gift for your wife to buy milk.” My husband declined. But the supervisor insisted, saying, “Consider it a small token [for looking after us].”

We had made the right choice not to accept the cement. Sometime later, a neighbor had their home insulated. After the job was completed, a worker approached us with leftover cement, which was already mixed, saying, “Brother, I heard that there’s a leak in your house. Would this help?” My husband joyfully accepted it and finally fixed the leak that had been going on for years. We knew that Master had arranged for the best outcome beyond our imagination.

This experience helped me realize that Master’s lecture about kindness and love helped present us with opportunities for growth. We now steadfastly rely on his compassionate teachings and guidance. I am deeply grateful to Master!
