(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yang Guijuan Admitted to Prison
2. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Han Wei’s Case Brought to Court
3. [Pulandian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Cuihua Convicted for Practicing Falun Gong
4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Yanhong and Mr. Xi Zhaojun Arrested
5. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Xinghui Detained
6. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Aimin Detained
1. [Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yang Guijuan Admitted to Prison
Ms. Yang Guijuan, a native of Langfang City, Hebei Province, was working in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. She was arrested in Jiaxing on October 12, 2024 for talking to people about Falun Gong. The Tongxiang City Court, under the jurisdiction of Jiaxing, sentenced Ms. Yang to one year. She was admitted to the Zhejiang Province Women’s Prison after her appeal was denied by the Jiaxing City Intermediate Court.
2. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Han Wei’s Case Brought to Court
Mr. Han Wei, of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was arrested by police from Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, on March 28, 2024. He was detained in Nantong for over a month and released on bail on April 30, 2024. He was indicted by the Chongchuan District Procuratorate in Nantong in mid-July 2025 and is now facing trial in the Chongchuan District Court.
3. [Pulandian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Cuihua Convicted for Practicing Falun Gong
Ms. Wu Cuihua was tried by the Pulandian City Court on June 24, 2025. She was sentenced to three years with a four-year probation and a fine. She was released on July 9, 2025.
4. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Yanhong and Mr. Xi Zhaojun Arrested
Yanhong (nickname) and Mr. Xi Zhaojun were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong near Daheishatu Town, Shangdu County around 5 p.m. on July 8, 2025, and were arrested by the local police. Yanhong was released the next day. Mr. Xi was given 15 days of detention.
5. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Xinghui Detained
Ms. Wang Xinghui, 62, from Pingchuan District, lives by herself. Her relatives went to visit her one day, and no one was home. They learned from her neighbors that during the early morning of March 9, 2024, local police and a group of officers from the Pingchuan District Domestic Security Division ransacked her home and arrested her.
Ms. Wang’s family went to the Domestic Security Division to inquire about her case, but were stonewalled. Given her family’s persistent inquiries, someone finally told them that Ms. Wang was held in the Baiyin City Detention Center.
Ms. Wang’s family hired a lawyer for her. He visited her and learned that she was interrogated and starved at the detention center.
6. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Aimin Detained
Officers Yong Qiang and Chen Maolin, from the Jianye Township Police Station, went to Ms. Yu Aimin’s workplace at 5 p.m. on June 2, 2025. Under the pretext of checking fire extinguishers, they ordered her outside her office building for a talk. She went, only to be dragged her into an unmarked car and taken to her apartment.
The police used Ms. Yu’s keys to break in, and confiscated her Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a paper cutter, an incense burner, and a necklace. Only the necklace has been returned.
Ms. Yu was detained for 10 days at the Jinzhou City Detention Center.
