(Minghui.org) After the rally and march on Saturday, Falun Gong practitioners and the European Tian Guo Marching Band held a series of activities in London on Sunday, July 20, 2025, to peacefully protest the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 26-year-long persecution and its transnational repression.
The main event was a march in the center of London. It started at noon outside the Chinese Embassy, passed through London’s bustling Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown, and arrived at St. Martin’s Place, drawing many people to stop and take pictures along the route.
After the march, practitioners conducted activities at St. Martin’s Place to raise awareness of the CCP’s persecution and call for help to stop the egregious human rights violations in China.
Public Support
Many people stopped to watch the parade, take photos, and accept flyers. During the two-day event people expressed their support for Falun Gong.
Martin condemns the persecution.
Martin is a store concierge and said, “This persecution is happening in China, but we can’t turn a blind eye. Such behavior should not only be banned, but those who participate in it should be arrested, brought to justice, and sent to prison.
“The reason why we must stick to our principles is that we have souls, which has been proven, and when we admit that people have souls, we cannot deny that the soul will eventually belong to God. Sadly, some people don’t believe in God. They don’t believe in a higher existence. But for such crimes, these people will eventually face God’s judgment!”
A couple from the Midlands praised the march that day, calling it spectacular and extraordinary. They said that the Tian Guo Marching Band was neat, and the music they played was heart-stirring and memorable.
“This is the first time we have seen such a large-scale military band performing on the street. It is refreshing!” the husband said excitedly.
The wife said she has some understanding of the current human rights situation in China because she has a Chinese friend who told her about the real situation.
“I am upset with the atrocities of the CCP’s persecution of human rights. It is simply unacceptable,” she said.
George Evans is a graphic designer and signed the petition without hesitation. He said, “When I saw this petition, my first reaction was: Why hesitate? Of course I have to sign it. If this petition can help stop forced organ harvesting, then of course I am willing to support it.”
He said this is the most basic human rights issue. We are all human beings, so how can we do things that go against our conscience?
Amanda Bridges is an assistant in a nursing home in Hampshire, England. After learning about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting in China, she said, “Everyone’s body belongs to themselves, and nothing should be taken away against their will. Our organs should not be taken away by force. I think this is extremely terrible and disgusting, and it is shocking that it is still happening in this day and age.”
She further emphasized, “I am appalled. I didn’t know there was such a thing in China before. I will tell people around me that this horrific thing is still happening today.”
Chinese: The CCP’s Propaganda Is Nonsense
Two Chinese students said they were disgusted with the CCP’s brainwashing propaganda. They were forced to wear red scarves when they were in elementary school.
“The CCP’s propaganda is ridiculous and all fake,” one of them said.
At the event site at St. Martin’s Place, a Chinese student listened quietly as Falun Gong practitioners explained why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong, and his expression was solemn. He learned that many practitioners were illegally detained or even persecuted to death simply because they adhered to their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. He said he felt heavy and sad.
He solemnly declared his withdrawal from the Communist Youth League on the spot using an alias and said sincerely, “I really thank you for telling me this information. I didn’t know this before.”
During the two-day event, dozens of Chinese people withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations for a safe future.
Candlelight Vigil
Candlelight vigil commemorates practitioners who died from the CCP’s persecution.
That evening practitioners gathered quietly outside the Chinese Embassy in London and held a candlelight vigil to commemorate those practitioners who lost their lives in the CCP’s persecution.
The candles flickered in the breeze, expressing their grief but eventually illuminating the surroundings in the dark night. Besides a commemoration of those who died, the vigil calls on people of conscience to support justice. The lights which illuminate the darkness convey hope and perseverance.
