(Minghui.org) Practitioners participated in the Lake City Summer Festival & Parade on August 2, 2025, and introduced Falun Dafa.
Practitioners on the float demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, and their waist drum team showcased traditional Chinese culture. They were met with applause and cheers from the crowds lining the route, and many people took photos with their phones.
Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Lake City Parade on August 2, 2025.
Located in northeast Seattle, Lake City is an urban community that combines residential and commercial areas and natural green spaces, and is known for its diverse culture.
The annual Lake City Summer Festival & Parade is one of the most representative festival celebrations in the entire Northeast Seattle area. The parade that begins in the evening is the climax of the festival, and the entire street is filled with laughter, music, and colors.
Falun Dafa Group Praised
Their float was decorated with brightly colored lotus flowers, and practitioners dressed in traditional Chinese clothing demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. Many spectators waved enthusiastically and expressed admiration.
The waist drum team walked behind the float and performed “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Happy Celebration,” and “March of the New China.” Their lively performances were met with applause. Some people swayed their bodies to the beat of the music. Others pressed their hands together in front of their chests to express their support and respect.
People Learn About Falun Dafa
Practitioners distributed brochures about Falun Dafa along the parade route, and some people approached the waist drum team members before and after the parade to express their admiration. Some asked to learn the Falun Dafa exercises.
A woman extended her hand from a distance to ask for a brochure. When a practitioner handed her one and introduced Falun Dafa to her, she happily said, “I know, I know.”
When an elderly Chinese man learned that the brochure was about Falun Dafa, he looked surprised for a moment, then immediately said, “Very good, very good!” and happily took it.
Ms. Zhou, a recent immigrant from China, also watched the parade. She was very interested in Falun Dafa and talked with practitioners who explained the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. She decided to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, and said she hopes to join practitioners in the parade next year.
