(Minghui.org) I am 76 years old and live in a rural area. I’ve practiced Falun Dafa for nearly 30 years. Every step of my journey has been protected by Master Li.

I used to have many illnesses, such as bradycardia, headaches, neurasthenia, and leg pain, and I began practicing Falun Dafa to cure my illnesses. After I started practicing Master purified my body and lifted me out of the mire. I experienced the lightness of being illness-free and deeply felt that it was truly wonderful to have Master looking after me.

Practitioners temper themselves in the Fa and measure their every word and action with Dafa’s standards. Their upright behavior moves those around them and helps people understand the truth about Dafa. I’d like to share a story from my cultivation journey to express my gratitude for how Dafa resolved a 17-year rift between my neighbor and me.

The courtyard south of my home was deserted and dilapidated. The wall collapsed, and so did part of the house. Neighbors dumped their junk there and the area was unpleasant and unsanitary.

The owner returned in 2006 and planned to rebuild the house. We fully supported her and were willing to lend her any tools she needed. She placed bricks at our doorstep and blocked our alley. We did not complain because we understood that building a house is hard work and requires many materials. We just walked around them.

We suddenly received a court summons in April 2007. Our neighbor was suing us, and I was confused as to why. My husband was sick so I had to go to court alone. I’d never been to court in my life. I had no choice and had to face it.

The neighbor claimed that we occupied her land and were unfriendly. The judge asked her to present evidence but she said she had none. The judge told me to go home. I saw the court-appointed judge measuring the neighbor’s yard a few days later. A few days after that the court rejected her case. It was confirmed that we hadn’t taken any of her land.

Since then, a rift grew between us. This neighbor decided to build a wall on the north side and again planned to place materials in our alleyway. My sister-in-law stood watch and wouldn’t let their workers use the alley. I also disagreed with their occupying our space. At the time, I didn’t know to look inward when conflicts arose. I thought: “These people are trouble. I’d better to keep my distance.”

The neighbor planned to rebuild again in July 2024. She came to our house to discuss using the alleyway to finish her north wall. I said, “That’s fine, but what you did before was too much. Neighbors should live in harmony.” She agreed and apologized. I continued, “No worries! It’s good that we talked.”

Her workers occupied our alley, and while they worked, a practitioner and I clarified the truth to them and helped them quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It was great that the workers got their job done and we practitioners had an opportunity to talk to them.

A few days after the work was done, the neighbor came to my house again. She said, “You are kind-hearted. I owe you an apology for my behavior.” To thank us she offered me a red envelope with money inside. I declined politely but she insisted, saying, “Please accept it. I won’t take it back.” I told her that I am a person of faith and that as I practice Falun Dafa I cannot accept the money.

I continued, “We appreciate your kindness, but we truly cannot accept this money.” I slipped it back into her pocket and said, “But I’ll tell you something good. Have you heard about quitting the CCP to stay safe?” She said she hadn’t, so I explained, “By withdrawing from the CCP, Youth League, and Young Pioneers you can ensure your safety.” She asked how, so I said, “Because when we swore our oaths, we pledged our lives to the CCP. When it is held accountable for its crimes those who swore to uphold it will suffer with it. Quitting is for your own good.”

She told me that she joined the Young Pioneers. I helped her choose a nick name and completed her withdrawal. I also told her to remember, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She said she would remember and left happily.

Falun Dafa resolved the 17-year rift between my neighbor and me.
