Making Friends While Talking to People About Dafa at the Market

(Minghui.org) I’ve practiced Falun Dafa for more than 20 years. I have a small stall at the market where I talk to people about Dafa and the persecution. My customers often say, “Falun Dafa is good!” when they see me.

A middle-aged mother and her adult daughter came to my stall to purchase seafood. I noticed the gold necklace on the daughter’s neck was broken so I told her about it.

She wasn’t aware, grabbed the chain and said, “This is an expensive necklace. You’re such a good person. Thank you so much for telling me!”

I told her that I practice Falun Dafa and live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and put others first.

When she noticed her expensive Buddha pendant was gone she anxiously looked everywhere, but couldn’t find it.

I spoke to them about Falun Dafa and the persecution and encouraged them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. I said that by reciting, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” it might help them recover the pendant. They talked it over and quit the CCP.

A customer then appeared wanting to buy oysters. I packed the oysters and found the gold Buddha pendant in a pile of oysters. I cheerfully shouted, “I found it!”

The mother and daughter thanked me, but I told them, “You should thank our Master because he teaches practitioners to be good people. Please remember ‘Falun Dafa is good’ and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!’” We became good friends after that.

I often met elderly people with poor memory or poor eyesight. After buying their goods, some of them would pay me 100 yuan and leave. I had to stop them so that I could give them their change. When they thanked me, I would say, “I practice Falun Dafa, and our Master teaches us to be kind. Dafa is here to provide salvation to people. Please quit the CCP!”

An elderly man once bought something worth 10 yuan and then began to leave. I stopped him. He said impatiently, “I’ve already paid you. What do you want from me?”

I told him, “You gave me 50 yuan instead of 10.” He was puzzled at first and then realized what he did. He praised me for being a good person.

I replied, “I practice Falun Dafa. We are taught to be honest and not cheat or deceive others. It’s important to treat customers with sincerity.”

He was very touched, “It would be great if all business people were like you.” I then told him about Dafa and helped him quit the CCP. We became friends too.

I have experienced many stories like these. We should always regard ourselves as cultivators and strive to return home with Master.
