(Minghui.org) The Chinese regime’s persecution of Falun Gong has persisted for 26 years. From July 17 to 23 this year, Falun Gong practitioners in Germany gathered outside the Chinese Embassy in Berlin and at the Chinese Consulates in Munich, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf. They held up banners, collected signatures on petitions, and delivered a letter calling on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to immediately end the ongoing persecution. The practitioners explained to passersby the details of the persecution and exposed the atrocity of harvesting organs from living practitioners in China who are imprisoned for refusing to renounce their faith.
Society for Threatened Peoples (Gesellschaft für bedrohte Völker or GfbV) issued a statement on its official website supporting the practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution.
On July 18, 2025, Falun Gong practitioners protested at the Jannowitz Bridge (Jannowitzbrücke) outside the Chinese Embassy in Berlin. They demonstrated the exercises and displayed banners calling for the CCP to end the persecution.

In Frankfurt, Falun Gong practitioners place a letter addressed to individuals working at the Chinese Consulate in a mailbox near the consulate on July 20, 2025.
In Düsseldorf, practitioners protested in front of the Chinese Consulate to demand that the CCP end the persecution of Falun Gong.
Falun Gong Practitioners’ Letter to Employees at the Chinese Consulate
The letter from Falun Gong practitioners to those working at the Chinese Consulate stated that the 26-year-long persecution lacks any legal basis. Falun Gong is a righteous practice, and its practitioners adhere to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They aim to be good people and have no political ambitions or hidden agendas.
On July 20, 1999, former CCP leader Jiang Zemin ordered the persecution of Falun Gong, and wanted to discredit the practitioners’ reputations, bankrupt them financially, and eliminate them physically. For 26 years, the CCP has used all state resources, including the military, media, police, national security agencies, the judicial system, the National People’s Congress, and diplomatic missions.
The letter detailed how the CCP violates human rights and forces Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. The CCP uses the most inhumane ways to persecute Falun Gong, disregarding law, morality, and human decency. The crime of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners is an unprecedented evil.
The practitioners examined the CCP’s lies and crimes in the letter and hoped that the staff members of the Chinese consulates could see the evil nature of the CCP. The letter suggested that they should quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations to avoid becoming scapegoats for the CCP’s crimes.
Since December 2019, Falun Gong practitioners have submitted a list of nearly 120,000 names of individuals involved in human rights abuses or corruption. The list was submitted to the Five Eyes Alliance countries, all 27 EU countries, and 13 other nations.
The practitioners believe that the situation will change soon. Many governments have recognized the CCP’s tactics and are implementing countermeasures. On May 5, 2025, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the Falun Gong Protection Act.
The letter also explains how to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. It warns staff not to participate in the persecution of Falun Gong or Shen Yun Performing Arts, and advises them not to believe the CCP's lies. The letter expressed hope that staff members will learn more about Falun Gong, ensure that the Chinese Constitution is followed, and put an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. It also encourages them to have the courage to quit the CCP and choose a bright, safe future for themselves, their families, and friends.
GfbV Calls on Beijing to End the Persecution and Transnational Repression of Falun Gong
Statement issued by the GfbV in German on its official website on July 18, 2025, saying that it supports Falun Gong and the CCP must be held accountable for its crimes.
GfbV, headquartered in Göttingen, Germany, issued a statement on its official website on July 18, 2025, voicing its support for Falun Gong.
“The systematic persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China began on July 20, 1999, after the theistic and state-independent movement had become increasingly popular and influential over the years.
“On this occasion, the Society for Threatened Peoples would like to draw attention to the ongoing repression through the Chinese regime: ‘The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is an ongoing crime, committed by the state, causing suffering every day—even beyond the China’s borders,’ stated Jasna Causevic, GfbV expert on genocide prevention and the Responsibility to Protect, in Göttingen today. Falun Gong practitioners are still arbitrarily arrested, tortured, sentenced to long prison terms, and subjected to forced labor and used as a source of organs for transplantation: ‘According to the U.S. Department of State, at least 188 Falun Gong practitioners died as a result of the repression in 2023 alone. A total number of 5,238 deaths are documented—but the number of unreported cases is likely to be far higher,’ Causevic added.
“Further, China is increasingly putting pressure on its internal opponents across state borders: ‘Falun Gong practitioners and their family members all over the world are monitored, intimidated, and attacked by means of targeted disinformation campaigns. This is a threat to fundamental democratic rights and the rule of law—even in Europe,’ Causevic emphasized.
“GfbV welcomes the resolution of the European Parliament (2024/2504(RSP)) and the U.S. Falun Gong Protection Act (H.R.1540) for the protection of Falun Gong, but calls for further measures. ‘Every second that this crime continues is an unbearable burden on humanity. The perpetrators must not go unpunished.
“Thus, GfbV calls for the immediate release of all detainees and for an end to the transnational repression. China must be held accountable with regard to its human rights obligations.”
