(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 28 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yin Hongwei and Ms. Yin Li’s Second Hearing Scheduled

Mr. Yin Hongwei and his daughter Ms. Yin Li were arrested during a police sweep on December 19, 2024. They were tried by the Daowai District Court on June 19, 2025, and a second hearing was scheduled for August 14, 2025.

2. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Guo Chunfang and Ms. Yang Sizhen Imprisoned

Ms. Guo Chunfang was admitted to the Sichuan Province Women’s Prison on July 12, 2025, to serve a four-year term.

Ms. Yang Sizhen was taken to the same prison on August 6, 2025 to serve a 22-month term.

3. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Runmiao Tried

Ms. Liu Runmiao was scheduled to appear in the Yingze District Court on August 14, 2025.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Yingjie and Mr. Gao Fei Detained

Ms. Liu Yingjie, in her 50s, was arrested along with Mr. Gao Fei, by officers from the Qinghejie Police Station in early August 2025. They are being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Haijun Arrested

Mr. Liu Haijun, 72, was arrested by Longshan Police Station officers on August 8, 2025. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated his Falun Gong books. He was beaten by the police, resulting in bruises on his face.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Dai Xuefen Harassed

Ms. Dai Xuefen was harassed by two officers as she was walking out of her neighborhood on the morning of August 8, 2025. Property management personnel video-recorded the process.

7. [Zanhuang County, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Harassed

Many practitioners and their families were harassed from June 26 to early July 2025, by officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station, Xuting Police Station, Tumen Police Station, Zhangleng Police Station, Longmen Police Station, Yuantou Police Station, and Qinghe Police Station.

The order was given by the Zanhuang County Domestic Security Division. The police questioned the practitioners as to whether they still practiced Falun Gong. If they answered yes, the police threatened to deprive their children and grandchildren of opportunities to receive higher education or find good jobs.

8. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xing Xiuping Arrested

Ms. Xing Xiuping was arrested at home by officers from the Liuzhuo Township Police Station on the morning of August 6, 2025. She was released the same day.

9. [Qianxi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Zhixin Formally Arrested

Ms. Wang Zhixin was arrested by Tangshan City Police Department officers at noon on July 16, 2025. The Qianxi County Police Department put her in criminal detention and took her to Tangshan City First Detention Center on July 18. The Xiaxi County Supervisory Commission initiated an investigation of her on July 30 and issued a warrant for her arrest on August 1.

10. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Tang Gangying, Ms. Tan Xiaorong, and Ms. Liu Xiaoli were harassed by two officers from Xining Police Station on the morning of August 5, 2025. The officers tried to force them to renounce Falun Gong and ordered them to sign a blank paper document. They refused to comply.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Haiyan to Finish Serving an Eight-Year Term

Ms. Zhou Haiyan was arrested on October 8, 2017 and sentenced to eight years in prison. She is scheduled to be released from the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on October 7, 2025.

12. [Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Imprisoned

Mr. Zhang Ruitong, Mr. Wang Ying, Ms. Meng Lili were arrested by officers from Tiexi Police Station and the Donghe District Domestic Security Division on March 29, 2023. They were all convicted by the Donghe District Court. Mr. Wang was sentenced to four years and two months in prison, and fined 20,000 yuan. Mr. Zhang was sentenced to four years and fined 18,000 yuan. Ms. Meng was sentenced to three years and three months and fined 10,000 yuan.

Mr. Zhang and Mr. Wang were taken to the Hohhot Second Prison and Ms. Meng was admitted to the Hohhot First Women’s Prison in late April 2024.
