“I really admire them, despite facing persecution every day, they are still full of courage. The way they tell people this information in such a courageous way is really great,” one person said after talking with Falun Dafa practitioners. Another person said, “The truth is often persecuted but there’s a saying, ‘Lies may win the quick sprint, but the truth wins the marathon.’” One man said, “Such events are very important because they let people feel practitioners’ courage. I really thank them for their sacrifices.”
These were some comments people made after talking to practitioners during the informational events they held on fifteen Saturdays, from February to July 2025. They set up a tent in Marktstätte Square, which is located in the city center of Konstaz, on the southern border of Germany. Many passersby accepted flyers, asked practitioners for more information, or directly came to the table to sign the petition and express their support to end the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Practitioners talk to people at Konstanz’s city center and tell them about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
Every Saturday, Falun Dafa practitioner Gianluca packs his small car with materials, and, with his wife and son who are also practitioners, drives for nearly an hour to reach Konstaz. The other practitioners come from nearby cities and Switzerland. They all wish to tell people about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
Gianluca said, “We just hope to end the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa and the regime’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. The CCP spreads propaganda and lies through the media, and has extended its reach to the media outside China. It is conducting transnational repression. I hope these events can help more people see through the CCP’s lies, so that they won’t be deceived and inadvertently help the persecutors.”
Some people told practitioners that they already signed the petition and have read the materials. Many said that although the persecution is very cruel, they encourage practitioners to persist. Some people are very concerned and periodically return to encourage practitioners and ask about developments. Some wished to learn more about Falun Dafa. After passing the booth many times some people finally signed the petitions to show their support. When others learned that there were new petitions that required signatures, they signed them. Many people thanked practitioners for their continued efforts to help people know about current events in China. This was the first time some people heard about the persecution.
Many tourists thanked practitioners for holding these events, and also signed the petitions to end the persecution.
People Encourage Practitioners
Alexander Weigold said, “We must take action to stop this persecution. This situation [in China] goes against humanity, and are crimes against humanity. If no one calls for people’s attention to try to stop the persecution, all these criminal acts will continue.” He emphasized, “They [Falun Dafa practitioners] sacrifice their time and energy and try to end these evil acts. This really touches me because this kind of change is urgently needed.”
An administrative assistant of a local research institute, Dagmar Olalere, also said “The events are very important to encourage people to pay attention to these injustices. To let them know so that they can position themselves in this matter.”
Hans who has a good understanding of East Germany under the communist rule said, “I believe everything that you say.” He encouraged practitioners, “You should hold more information day events like this. The German media is wrong for not mentioning such topics. All of humanity should wake up. People need to know this to trigger their thoughts. We arrived at this moment to welcome the new world.”
Four teenagers sign the petitions and said they plan to share the information on their social media.
Malah, Narin, Jood, and Medinal, four junior high school students, signed the petitions. One said, “The criminal act of forced organ harvesting should be made known to more people. Such events should be held around the world.” Another said, “Such events are very good. They can tell people what is happening.” “We know that holding such events, including producing these flyers, is done by practitioners.” “Every city and every country should know about this matter [the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa].” One young man said, “If we were older, we could take more action to stop this persecution.”
Not only young people, the elderly, like Groh Friederike, condemned the persecution and said, “People should know more because the media often presents information in a one-sided perspective, so people should learn more from different perspectives. I think today’s event is very good.”
We Will Definitely Tell More People
Many passersby said that they want to share what they learned with others and hope that more people can join in to stop the persecution.
“Before I talked with you, I never heard of the persecution. This is such a pity,” said Jael Harsch, a medical assistant from Switzerland. She explained that she heard about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa for the first time during the event. She encouraged practitioners and said, “People should get this information so that more people can do their part and try to make changes because this persecution is obviously wrong.
“We will definitely tell more people,” Harsch said. “We also scanned the QR code [that links to the petition website], so people can sign the petitions.”
“I believe that most people will share the same thoughts,” said Giulia Romano, who accompanied Harsch. “We feel this persecution is too brutal, so it’s important to let more people know. This can let them know what has happened and thus take action.”
Tenth-grade students, Grete and Emily, also planned to tell more people. Grete said, “Obviously, people should take action to object to this persecution. We should also let more people know so they can sign the petitions.” Emily added, “These signatures can have a great effect.”
Falun Dafa Practitioners’ Perseverance Deserves People’s Admiration
Hearing that Falun Dafa practitioners persisted in telling people about the persecution for more than twenty years, law student Eva said, “I feel this is very important and deserves people’s admiration. We should recognize the importance of this perseverance because this is so much more important than just saying, ‘We have tried.’ I think that we should not lose hope. We must truly try our best to attain better results.”
A Swiss post logistics manager also praised practitioners for their perseverance and efforts over the past twenty-six years, “What they are doing is very powerful, and I am proud of them. I hope that they can continue to overcome all obstacles and succeed in attaining their goal.”
Although the sun set and the event ended for the day, Falun Dafa practitioners will soon return to Konstanz and continue telling people about the persecution.
As evening came, Gianluca, his family, and the other Falun Dafa practitioners packed all the materials, banners, tables, chairs, and tents into the car. He said, “It’s really wonderful to see the happy look on people’s faces after they understand the truth and see through the CCP’s lies. Many people say that they plan to tell more people what they learned.” Gianluca smiled and said, “Being able to hear of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in these troubled times encourages people, and they feel that there is still hope. We want to share the goodness of Falun Dafa and what we experienced through practicing Falun Dafa.”
