(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners organized informational activities in five locations along the Romanian coast from August 8-12, 2025, to inform the public about their practice and raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. They held an event at the Telegondola in northern Mamaia on August 8, in Mangalia Harbour on August 9, in Eforie Nord and Eforie Sud on August 10 and 11, and near the Museum of Popular Art in Constanța on August 12.

During the events, practitioners handed out informational flyers, demonstrated the exercises, and talked to people about the CCP’s persecution. They collected signatures on a petition to the G7 countries to end the persecution. Some passersby said they previously heard of Falun Dafa and were happy to take a stand for the practitioners.
More People Should Know About Falun Dafa
Florina Oncescu at Eforie Sud on August 10, 2025
Florina Oncescu was drawn to the practitioners’ event in Eforie Sud after seeing the words “Falun Dafa” on the display board. She told the practitioners that she had heard of the practice. “I also read about this [practice] on Google. I was sad to read about the suffering they have endured. More publicity should be done to reach out to people for health, development, and balance. That’s how I saw it, and I really liked what I have read about [practitioners],” she said.
Referring to the rapid spread of Falun Dafa at all levels of society immediately after it was made public in China in 1992, Oncescu would like to see this phenomenon flourish in Romania as well. “I think it would be nice and good in schools if we explained to children what [Falun Dafa] means; if they were open to this, they would surely start practicing it here too. How beautiful it is that any citizen can go online and read about this and see the vigor and mobility of the people—and yet I don’t understand why it was banned [in China],” she said.
A practitioner told her the reasons that the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa. Oncescu was saddened to hear that. “I am very sorry. I stand with them [Falun Gong] empathetically; I empathize with them. I am very sorry. If I could help them in any way, I would do so,” she said. Before leaving, she signed the petition.
Student: Everyone Should Practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

David, a high school student, visited the practitioners’ stand in Constanta. He believes that the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance described in Falun Dafa nourish the spirit, while the exercises ensure physical health—both of which are necessary for a person’s wisdom to develop and for them to reach their best possible state.
He also said that if people would just try to practice these principles once, they would have a chance to understand the benefits they bring to their lives. “I think the principles taught [in Falun Dafa] are very good, and everyone in society should practice them at least once. I also think that the spirit must be in a good relationship with the body, because that is how we can achieve some enlightenment,” he said.
David recommends that practitioners be more visible on social media, “Because if there is more publicity, more people will automatically come, and young people will find nothing wrong with it and will agree with the ideas presented.”
David also urges practitioners to always present themselves in their true light, not to give up their beliefs under pressure from the communist regime. “Be who you are.”
Children, Teachers, and Parents Appreciate Falun Dafa’s Values
Parents and teachers also came to speak with the practitioners to learn more about their event; many of them brought their children. After learning about Falun Dafa and its principles, both adults and children expressed approval for the practitioners’ efforts and dismay that their practice is facing suppression in China.
Sofia, 17, who was with her mother in Mamaia, already knew that Falun Dafa practitioners are persecuted by the communist regime in China. She said, “It’s sad that innocent people, who are concerned with becoming better and more righteous, are still being terrorized and killed by the communist authorities to harvest their organs.” She wants the crimes to stop. Sofia and her mother signed the petition to put an end to the persecution.
In Eforie Nord, a group of children passed by the Falun Dafa event site, accompanied by three supervisors, who read the banners displaying the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. One of the supervisors accepted informational materials, along with a copy of The Lotus Fairy Tale. He said enthusiastically that he would read the book to the children that evening.

In Eforie Sud, passersby learned that practitioners are persecuted for their beliefs under the CCP regime. Many people said they were impressed by practitioners’ informational activities. A teacher asked for the book The Lotus Fairy Tale, saying that she would explain the principles to her pupils using this book, because “It is essential for these children to understand the importance of moral values and to follow them in life.”
A teenager dressed in a traditional costume stated that, “Torturing and killing those who follow these moral principles and want to be good people is unacceptable and must stop immediately.” She signed the petition calling to stop the persecution in China.
