(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an information day event in Saint-Nazaire, France, on August 23, 2025. They set up a booth, demonstrated the Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) exercises, displayed information on boards and banners, and distributed flyers. They also collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.
Saint-Nazaire, the capital of the Loire-Atlantique department in western France, borders the Atlantic Ocean and lies at the mouth of the Loire River. The city is renowned for its Nantes-Saint-Nazaire Grand Harbour, as well as its aviation and shipbuilding industries.
Practitioners held an information day event in Saint-Nazaire on August 23.
Many people out enjoying the sunny weather read the displays. A man vacationing in Saint-Nazaire from New Caledonia, a French island in the South Pacific, said he was shocked to hear about the persecution and the CCP’s forced organ harvesting in China. He signed the G7+7 petition and thanked practitioners for the information. One woman who read a display board signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s forced organ harvesting before a practitioner could say a word. As a retired nurse, the woman said that she had already heard about the forced organ harvesting and that it was inhumane. She thanked practitioners and wished them good luck.
Gwenaël from Lorient was deeply moved by a Vietnamese Falun Dafa practitioner who told him about the forced organ harvesting in China. “How brave! You are truly compassionate and want to help the Chinese people,” he said with tears in his eyes as he signed the petition.
A man told practitioners he supported Falun Dafa. He took a copy of the Minghui Report: The 20-Year Persecution of Falun Gong and said he would learn more about the persecution.
Emily, a social worker, stopped at the booth with her nephew and told practitioners, “I saw you at the Saint-Brévin Health Fair, but you didn’t have any banners about the persecution. You told me about it, but I didn’t realize Falun Dafa was being horribly persecuted in China. If this bothers the CCP so much, then Falun Dafa must be good. I’m going to sign the petition and learn the exercises. I’ve wanted to go to the practice site for a long time, but I never found the right time. Now that I’ve run into you again, it’s no coincidence. I’ll write down the contact information for the Saint-Nazaire practice site and I’ll definitely go this time.”
Eighty-four-year-old Claudine was deeply moved by what she heard. She signed the petition and asked how to do the exercises. As she left, she said, “Thank you for your explanation. I will never forget you.”
A mother and her daughter listened to practitioners’ explanation and signed the petition. They said what was happening in China was horrific and that the whole world needed to know about it. They thanked practitioners for the information.
When Yaki took the flyer and started to leave, a practitioner told him that if he was in a hurry, he could sign online. He returned and said that he was happy to sign but apologized and said his hands trembled. The practitioner said the thought was what mattered, so he signed with a shaking hand and wished the practitioners good luck.
During the event, many people expressed their appreciation to the practitioners for telling them what was happening in China. Some said they needed to talk about this as much as possible because the persecution should be stopped. Others suggested that practitioners hold another event and told them about other locations where more people gathered.
