(Minghui.org) The annual Associations Forum was held in La Possession, a city in the western part of the French overseas department of Réunion Island on August 24, 2025. Approximately 120 associations participated, attracting a large number of visitors. Falun Dafa practitioners also participated in the event.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises and introduced the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Mayor Vanessa Miranville of La Possession went to the practitioners’ booth to show her support and signed the Doctors Against the Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) petition urging G7+7 leaders to help stop the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) forced organ harvesting.

People sign the petition calling to end the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.

Practitioners also demonstrated the exercises on stage several times. They introduced the practice and talked about the benefits of practicing the exercises and following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Many people were happy to learn that Falun Dafa is taught for free and were interested in trying the exercises.

People learned about the CCP’s persecution of practitioners in China, which began on July 20, 1999. Practitioners are arrested, detained, brainwashed, and incarcerated. Some even have their organs removed without their consent.

The president and two members of a Muslim association from the nearby city of Le Port were shocked to learn about the persecution in China. They’d only heard of the CCP’s crimes against Uyghurs, never about the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. They asked why major media outlets did not report on this serious issue.

The president of the Muslim association exchanged contact information with the president of the China Awakening Association and said they hoped to organize activities in the future to raise awareness of the CCP’s persecution.
