(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Sun Yue was arrested at home by Chaoyang Township Police Station officers on August 28, 2025, and taken to the Dehui City Detention Center that afternoon.
Ms. Xia Ning and Ms. Zhu Jiyu were transferred from the Huludao City Detention Center to Liaoning Women’s Prison in mid-August 2025.
Ms. Sun Xiuju was arrested at home at noon on August 28, 2025, by officers from the Dehui City Police Department and the Nong’an County Police Department. She was taken to the Tongtai Police Station in Dehui City, and later to a detention facility in Changchun City.
A group of officers from the Dongcheng Police Station stormed into Ms. Yang Yuqiong’s home when her husband went out to dump the trash on the morning of August 29, 2025. They took photos of their home, arrested Ms. Yang, and confiscated her Falun Gong books and informational materials. Her husband’s safe was also smashed. Ms. Yang was held at the police station. The police didn’t provide any food to her, but asked her family to deliver food.
Ms. Liu Yan, nearly 60, was tried by the Linshu County Court on the morning of August 25, 2025. She passed out upon hearing her verdict (details unknown). The police took her to the Beicheng Branch of Junan County Hospital. After her blood pressure returned to normal on August 27, the police took her to the Linyi City Detention Center.
More than 20 practitioners were arrested on August 21, 2025. The police returned to Mr. Li Xiukuan’s home and removed a camera that Mr. Li had installed on his front door. Mr. Li is being held in the Shuangcheng Detention Center under criminal detention.
Several practitioners in Hexi District were harassed ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, which was scheduled to be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1, 2025.
Song Yingjie, director of Xiyuanxili Residential Committee in Hexi District, and others, went to Ms. Li Kangning ’s home at around 8 p.m. on August 28, demanding that Ms. Li not leave their sight or the residential complex between August 29 and September 2.
Mr. Yu Zenggang was approached by three officers from the Linjiacun Town Police Station at around 9 a.m. on August 29, 2025, when he was working at a farmers market. The officers demanded to take photos of him. He refused to cooperate.
One of the officers harassed Mr. Yu at home two years ago. The one who took photos with his cell phone was Fan Yongyu, an auxiliary police officer in Mr. Yu’s residential community. The third officer was wearing a body-cam.
Ms. Wang Shuhua, 68, was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Quanyuan Residential Community on August 23, 2025. Several officers arrested her and took her to the Wanlian Police Station. They ransacked her home that afternoon.
After an interrogation, Ms. Wang was taken to a hospital for a physical exam. Her systolic blood pressure was as high as 229 mmHg (normal level is 120 mmHg or less). The officers forced her to take antihypertensive pills and took her to the Shenyang City First Detention Center at 4 a.m. on August 24. She is currently being held in Cell 302, and is still being forced to take antihypertensive drugs every day.
